lul, they gave u a "multipurpose" container, which acts up either as ash tray or coin box. I remove the cover and the rubber base and put it in my passenger side cupholder to act as my coin holder and key holder.

haha tq sifu ericmaxman n all

can u guys suggest where shop spotrim+tyre is the with the good prioce n service? ?any xperience n how much for the rim15" price nowdays include tyre..
*
Kapar, Klang

Rims depending on design and rubber usually ard RM 190-200/pcs. So lets say if you take a rim price ard 800, plus 190 x 4 = 760, so 760 + 800 = 1560. Trade in the current rims and tyre, that should bring down the price to around 1160 to 1360.

But then, cheap price doesn't comes with good service. And if you want to walk in to ask price, be prepared to be ignored. lololol.

Once in a while, there will be question of FC arises. As long as the discussion doesn't stretch a page long or more, then it is still acceptable.

@CooShyRee:
11-12km/L (after 5,000km service), 50 city 50 highway. Heavy footer.

Any more questions to serve your curiosity?

An exercise to change CVT clutch pump and fuel hose. Affected models are the first batch FLX, meaning those manufactured between August-September models.

well, im sorry if my queries seems stupid, but this is my 1st time in this thread, so im not really sure how u guys work.. looks like bombarding people is the way 2 go here.. ok, point noted.. n as the issues wit my stars, i earned em by being polite n nice as i possibly can, discussin sumthin as a FORUM shud, not juz firing people n then being as sarcastic as hell juz becoz u hate the opposition carmaker.. let me tell u sumthin, i love cars.. i dont really care the make or model, thats y i hangout in FnF, 2 be around other car lovers. i dont discriminate anybody, not by wat type of brand of car they drive, whether i like or not.. yes, i drive a myvi eric, but u dont see me go around giving terrible comments bout saga.. 2 me, 2 each his own.. u choose 2 buy a particular make or model 4 ur very own reasons, nobody has the rite 2 discriminate that rite of urs.. n even if i happen 2 give other forummers a piece of my mind, i surely would apologize n give probable juztifications 4 my action. being a saga newby, i thought we could juz blend in n discuss stuff bout this budget sedan which i think is a very gud buy btw.. im juz asking coz a dear bud of mine is gettin one, never expect people around here 2 be so rude n inconsiderate.. 2 be truthfully honest, i was really shocked 2 read these comments, as i was asking my questions in a very polite n nice manner.. so sad, people these days r so, how shud i put this in a nicer way, 'un-nice'..

nvr thought my very innocent asking would be treated this way.. i thought by asking real owners of the cvt would fruit better understanding 2wards the gb of the car.. well, have 2 be skeptical, as its the 1st time proton's offering cvt in their car.. ok then guys, understood.. thnx very much 4 all the help, especially the TS..
*
Well, I on behalf of everyone in this thread apologize to you for the rude treatment. The old BLM FC is so bad that once it stretched pages long just to discuss about anything which relates to FC. This make the discussion about FC a bit of a sensitive issue here.

if you want to ask anything about the FLX, you may blast me a PM smile.gif

Make this as my favor to you since both of us has shared much laughter and good times together in FnF all these years.

well, in the brochure it stated max top speed is 155kph but I did 175kph, so, yeah, the brochure is full of lies. tongue.gif

if your friend is those who drive sensibly, every RM30 of fuel should approximately lasts him around 180-200km. But then, this figure may vary due to road condition, traffic condition and the geography of the road. To sum it all up, it should return almost the same figures as the new Myvi LB.

hahahahha.. 175?? not bad.. hows it feel at those kinda speeds??

sensibly?? not sure, hes the worst driver ive encountered, as in not gud at all.. thats y most of the time he never drives, nobody ever lets him tongue.gif

same sorta figure as LB myvi.. thats ok i guess.. cant wait 2 test his car, coz ive never really had much experience wit cvt's.. the only cvt ive driven b4 was a short drive of a jazz couple of yrs ago..
*
at KESAS was smooth, but on MRR2 is floating and jumping around because of the uneven road surface. rclxub.gif
But then, my tires are slightly under inflated to compliment my need for speed driving style.

how worst is worst? Worst as in a total irritating peach (translate that in Albanian) with bad judgement or a throttle happy fellow who always zig zag around traffic?

more or less the feeling will be the same as Jazz since the CVT in Jazz and the CVT in FLX is clutch based.

Hi guys, i'm deciding to get my first car with the price around 50-60k. Will do long distance travel nilai-penang once a month. Prefer a car with good handling so no myi for me although i like the interior design more than proton. I've narrowed down to only these two, saga flx se 1.6 or persona elegance h-line. Which one is a better choice? Or should i wait for persona replacement?? icon_question.gif
*
can you wait for the Persona Replacement (tentatively June 2012)

and even if you can wait, the price I dont think it will be within 50-60k range. You might get a base line with just basic feature.

Is there any difference in terms of FC between PE highline and Saga FLX SE? Which one is much better in FC? And at what FC is considered good for proton cars? Sorry if i am asking too many question. I am just newbie here. Wanted to ask for advice before buying.
*
FLX SE is still relatively new and some members only got their rides very recently, the most latest one being yesterday on 31/12/2022. Thus, the optimum FC is still TBC.

As for PE FC, you can gain some insight from the Persona thread. If FC is the least of your concern, you can consider the PE since it is a very good car. Comfortable for long distance driving, great handling and spacious enough to transport 3 dead bodies.

If FC is a bit of concern to you, then the FLX SE confirm fares better than the PE. Even the performance is a little bit better than the PE due to the CVT efficiency and the lighter kerb weight. The downside is that the sound insulation isn't as good and therefore it makes long distance traveling isn't that pleasant as in the PE.

Added on January 1, 2012, 6:17 pmV12.. from wat i heard PE manual's FC isnt that bad. Quite ok from a 1.6.

yup, but that little chap is looking at the PE H-line, which only comes with a 4 speed AT.

QUOTE(razkal @ Jan 1 2012, 06:24 PM)
Thanks for the detailed explaination V12Kompressor. I am not really concern about FC because the car is only going to be use as a transportation means to my workplace which probably will take 10mins driving from my place. Only once a month i'll probably go to Penang. Just wanted to know general figures from both car. That's all.

I know that persona have got good NVH (from reading in this forum) compared to the Saga and the saga got the new CVT which i  do hope will get into persona sometimes later. My concern also about the head room in the car as i'm 1.8mish tall. Have considered neo cps before this but after went into the car in the showroom my head almost touch the ceiling. Pity me, as i really like that car as well. sad.gif

In the end it's all about the pros and cons from both car and which i need to decide.
*
well, NVH can be improved via other means.

Plonking down a CVT into the engine bay on the other hand, is downright not cost effective. Not to mention the amount of other tunings and modifications needed to be done to accommodate the CVT characteristics.

Oh yeah, ive always wanted 2 ask this.. Any of u saga owners ICE junkies?? Would u guys say that the saga is an easy car 2 mod ICE??
*
Some hardcore ICE junkies doesn't log into this forum. The older BLM is easy due to the space in the boot and also the fact that the dashboard can accommodate either a single DIN or a 2-DIN unit without making much customization.

The newer FL/FLX with steering controls however is a bit hard. This was due to the fact that the steering audio control somehow only works only with the stock unit. lol But other things such as wiring, speaker set up, woofer positioning, etc are relatively easy to be done because space isn't much of a concern.

not 2 say butthurt, megat n i r juz merely stating an observation.. which i have 2 say, its fair rite??

Your observation has continued to serve you right but may I also point out that the turtle word also pops out at each thread in entire LYN as long as the word Myvi is mentioned.
So do you think it is fair to scapegoat the Saga thread only?

QUOTE
yeah, ive heard also someone saying bout the steering controls, i guess its true then.. but the front speaker panels, they hold 6" speakers, rite??
*
I'm not very into ICE and IIRC, it is 6 inch. Throw away the stock one and you can just fit in any component set without much modification done to the speaker panel. However, if one really want superb sound, it is better to bring the speakers further towards the driver/passenger because at the current position, there's a bit interference by dashboard especially when you want to show off the gorgeous speaker mesh grill.

hows the sound quality of the standard setup?? coz in any perodua i go into, they have this terrible stereo, which 2 me, isnt tolerable at all..
*
When it comes to sound system, I would say you have to test it out yourself. Bring your favourite album and test it out at the showroom to judge it yourself.

But my manager who drives a F10 BMW 523i did praises the Clarion sound system when I became his "one day" driver when his car has to be sent for a warranty replacement.
