Saga FLX Standard got no sport rim is it? just the normal boring looking rims I guess?

This is noob question (planning to buy a saga FLX std) but the std one rims how many inch aa? i thought of changing to sport rims and use tires from stock rim.

thanks. merry xmas
*

Hi all, i'm new here. I have a question.
My BLM' emergency and signal lights not functioning! (same lights right?)
It happened like this...
just now i parked my car at roadside for photography, i switched on emergency light. About 5 mins later i found it not working. I tried signal light, it worked.
Once i back to home, it did not work anymore. I tried to press emergency light button. I pressed it half, the signal lights worked! with some buzzle sounds. It came from wires i think. It worked for a while, and now both were gone.

What happened? wires? Anyone had similar experience? damn it because currently i'm in my hometown, will back to KL by tomorrow. How to go back without signal light?
*
i think something that controls the signal has burn
i dn't know what its call...connector or switch
cannot open too long becuz signal isn't signal ...it wasn't suppose to be on and off/blinking
its just a light actually...theres something in between the wires..."a thing" that makes the light on and off/blinks
it it "blinks" too often...it will burn
just like your house lamp...u tried on off every sec..see what happen after 5 minute..haha

*

guyz, is flx same engine like previous one?

if so, flx 1.3 just change crankshft, conrod and block 1.6  kit should be same like 1.6 flx

right?
*
almost the same...i think they use better material..or maybe not
cuz last time campro recommendation engine oil is 10W-40
now the recommendation is 10W-30 already
can support lighter oil...last time some say not recommended to use 10W-30
just my 2 sen

if the air cond vent weren't round, i think i would buy saga long time ago.. haha.. i kinda like box shape vent like in the persona..
*
i think this round shape better
2 reasons
1. it provides MAXIMUM aircon flow...big hole..the whole car also cool down faster
2. less chance of being faulty...its not as easy to spoil than those box shape ones
and its easy to adjust as well...up down and sideways also can without worry of spoiling

Ps. Mayb Proton shld hv come out with a Saga variant with those box-shaped vents so can hv more sales fr more "edmunz-es"??? whistling.gif
*
its actually can be modified
not so sure abt changing round to box shaped
but box shaped definitely can change to round type
i saw waja's box one...ppl in lelong have sell the round type for waja
change it only
box type...reliability is unknow
but the round one....u can spin it and spin spin it round and round also won't spoil cuz its independent and not attached to any wire or anything

I pernah in a rush, start enjin terus jalan. When reach first intersection I mati engine. lol

yeah..normally i oso will warm up till at least 2bar then only start journey. even if the engine is warmed ad, will wait around 10-15sec only start driving...
The engine shud last abit longer by this way as to allow engine oil to lubricate the engine properly b4 start loading it..jz my 2cent
*
newer gen of engine doesn't require warm up at all
its made to start and go
what is needed to warm up is the GB itself
if not warm up thn kinda like jam at that gear for awhile be4 it change
but standing still won't warm up the GB..or at least fast
driving it will....just drive slowly 1st

Im on FS, still got 6k to go till service, cant wait to try on this addictive. Maybe the extra RM45 can help me gain more mileage so I can go extra 2~3k before doing my 20k service at 22k or 23k.
*
i think u should change the filter in between

hi guys! wanna ask again..

is there any option for extended warranty for purchase of FLX?

if got, is how much and actually the standard warranty is how long? the extended one how long?

Thanks for previous replies biggrin.gif
*
standard warranty - 3 years
extended warranty - 2 years
if not wrong...the extended warranty is depending on which insurance company you're using
but for me i think 3 years is more than enough already...if your car's engine and GB have no problem by thn...thn it shouldn't be giving u further problem already....that extra 2 years is quiet useless and is a waste
the real problem comes at the 8th-9th years for the engine and GB...mostly is GB

@Mr_Alien

thanks for the info! Alamak.. GB aaa.. really afraid of GB probs.. how common is that in FLX? I'm really planning just to get standard saga with manual transmission. Because im just starting out, so id just settle with the cheapest line first laa..

so GB prob more common in manual or auto trans? whatever it is, as long as covered by warranty, any problem also can bring to proton is it?
*
GB itself if really have problem..it will surface like the 1st month or the 1st year...won't surface at 4th or 5th year
if the 1st year already no problem...thn it should be no problem already afterwards
after that usually is smooth all the way as long as u have change the GB oil or change it with the right oil
after that its all the way until 8-9 years / 200k KM
and its no matter manual/auto/CVT/DSG/...etc etc
but the CVT's reliability has been tested by proton until now 250k KM already...so it should last around that mileage,so dn't worry

When i read the reviews for the 1.6SE, i m glad i did not wait for it. Review said ride is hard etc. My 1.3FLX is smooth as silk and i have no worries when have to drive outstation. My only complaint is road + other noise coming from outside the cabin but i think that can be corrected by soundproofing later when I have $. Cannot ask for too much, I guess.
*
comfort = soft
sport = hard
if not wrong starting from 1.3FLX already switch to harder absorber already
