As it's NOT stated in User Manual, me hv not dared risk damaging my iPhone using USB port in my FL.can we use the usb jack that comes with our clarion player (stock) to charge our phone? is it safe or better to buy another jack to plug at the cig lighter port? Not worth it cos can easily charge phone using Ori Charger unit @home. Moreover me also hv an Apple certified in-car charger unit. This post has been edited by zeone: Jan 5 2012, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(AMenzZ @ Jan 5 2012, 09:31 PM) I tink up to 500mA @5V is more suit...haha... Since USB port in car stated for use with USB flash/thumb/pendrive, best & safer 2use as meant 2b used. True? just dun over use the port...wear and tear will kill the port...haha... I've found that charging my iPhone 1X daily (@nite @home) good enuf 4my usage needs. ATM I've got a CD in my HU slot, an 8Gb thumb drive in USB port. So me can play fr watever source (radio, CD or USB) whenever me choose to. This post has been edited by zeone: Jan 5 2012, 09:51 PM |

Hi Bros....
Time 2share another DIY mod to my trusty 1.3FL Exec Auto.... Yup, as previously mentioned in earlier pages, me was waiting for delivery of ordered AMT Power Cushion Buffers for front & rear springs. Well, they arrived earlier this morning and me straightaway got down to installing them! Haha! As they say, pics say a thousand words...so here they are : » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Me went for a short spin arnd the block, testing the suspension feel over uneven roads & even humps/bumps! Wat can I say? Not bad...suspension felt firmer like having stiffer shocks/springs and the ride was more solid overall! Feel worthwhile small investment for a better ride... ps. Was supplied with Size C for the Front Springs & Size B for the Rear. However need to cut abt 3.5cm from ends of each Buffer for the Rear to get a good fit. QUOTE(dares @ Jan 6 2012, 05:45 PM) Nicely done zeone. You also diy your abl right? You said it was easy...luckily didnt believe you Firstly, tks 4nice comments! Re OEM ABL install, it's truly easy wan. Unless yrs is not OEM module. (NB. The "universal" module is hard to DIY! Only unplug & re-plug only xcept for 1 wire tap. Juz need 2test which wire (of plug which connects to rear lamps) 2tap using 12V bulb with wires connected. NO wire is CUT! Juz tap into it nia. However, Basic knowledge of circuit testing useful here. Added on January 6, 2012, 6:15 pm QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Jan 6 2012, 05:58 PM) Yup, that's a fact & so are the shocks! QUOTE(huzaifa136 @ Jan 8 2012, 11:05 AM) that's a different thing. dolls is not a conductor, hence only for decoration purpose Those are known as "Earthing Straps".... that's very different from the doll, it's longer and should be able to touch the road to transfer the electrostatic act as an extra grounding cable, but nowadays, it's quite rare. In a humid country like Msia, we hv no need for such cos our vehicles wld not be charged nor retain such electrostatic charges like in those temperate/cold "dry" air countries....
