by default, the virgin S2 is running full speed of 1.2GHz or running at diff speed depend on usage?

There is many android website like androidcentral, androidandme, phandroid, andgeeks, for me i just download pulse apps from market, you that get all latest news from tech website.

it doesnt run at 1.2GHz all the time, only when it needs to like playing games etc..

It will run on lowest speed like 200 if you have lots of apps open on background it will go full speed, if you 'root' your phone i change your speed and voltage so it it will not run on full speed all the time.

Hi guys, I know this may be an common question already. I am planning on buying SG2 but I can't decide to buy the i9100G or i9100 model. The worst thing is I don't think many retailer will carry original set i9100 anymore. Certain issue like poor battery performance in i9100 seems to be fixed in GB 2.3.5(correct me if I am wrong) showing here http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/10/17/samsung...9100-vs-i9100g/. In overall value, i9100 seems to be surpass the i9100G, only bad in the overheating issue. May I know whether the overheating is really severe for you guys who using the i9100?Like running games and some web browsing will it makes it rly overheated?Hope getting feedbacks from u guys soon =)

I have both with me. And there is virtually no difference in performance. All those benchmarks you see are purely synthetic.....they are called synthetic benchmarks for a reason, they do not indicate real world performance accurately.

As for the heat question, both will also heat up if you are doing very heavy stuff.

No overheating issue at all. It might feel warm to the touch if you play games like asphalt 6 HD long enough while charging but its a non issue at all as the phone can still run smoothly. You can feel the heat more then other phones because sgs2 have a slim body. Put on a case then it will feel like any other phones.
