My phone's heating up after I switched to the siyah kernel(2.2)
Was previously on speedmod. My usage has always been the same so really think it's the kernel issue

Hi, i have g and non-g S2, my non- g version can connect MHL to HDMI to LCD TV, but g version cannot connect, no signal..anyone know why? thanks in advance.

No OC. Yeah, playing tons of games, but I was doing the same too with speedmod, and the temperature is not as high.
Notice that other forummer in xda is also reporting of the heat issue with the siyah kernel.

Really, I don't see much posting about heat issue on siyah kernel.

mine is only abit hot when playin games
other times
its cold
im usin siyah 2.2 nolog
usin 2nd core to set it to run dual core
sio/ondemand

even when using some casing can become hot but not that hot that concern me.i'm on siyah 2.2 beta 6. works wonders for me. no issue at all..

Planning to use a custom launcher.

I recommend to use Go Launcher. The features on ADW oso got on Go Launcher but it has more advanced features than ADW

LOL. 1 complain does not count. Plus that was not the final version.

On a side note, I really do recommend using echo void kernel. For me it has the best standby batt (not sure about batt drain while using) and it is just as smooth. But I am sticking with siyah 2.2 final for now.

Just download SwiftKey keyboard, and I think this one not bad at all. Since they offer 50% discount. But not sure if swipe will be faster then this app.

ermm, i want to ask when the 3G is enabled, how can we make it so that it is used only for mms and not sync with other apps?

or how did u all receive mms?

Uhh..after only two days of using white SGSII, the back four corners and the edge of the battery cover becomes slightly discoloured already. Wonder why.?
To any white SGSII user., does your phone already discoloured at the back and edges along the battery cover.? Or still as good and shinny as new.??

Set your apn to mms only for 3g Internet.

That is problem with white. And if you used any of those cheap PU leather casing, it will stains it obviously
