Downloading stuff from the Kitchen Pro app takes forever. Trying to download the ICS theme and it has been downloading for more than an hour. And still less than 50%. On N wifi+ unifi

I have both the G and non-G in my house. They both perform identically. Both can be rooted with CWM. Both can play all the apps and videos. The G-version has crazy battery life. Consistently longer than my non-g.

All the hype and comparison is just blowing stuff out of proportions. Can anyone here honestly tell me that you can feel the difference between a few points difference in any of the benchmarking programs?

The PowerVR GPU was way ahead of it's time in the Galaxy S1. So now when they use it here people throw fits. It still has much better compatibility than the non-g's Mali400. It is like comparing Nvidia to ATI. ATI has better hardware but Nvidia has better drivers. But both are equal in real world performance.

Smoothness in TW is very good. Have not tried any other launchers on the G yet. As for gaming, I tried Trial X2 and Guerilla Bob and it was smooth as well. Widgets was no problem. As for surfing, have not done much on the G but the surfing experience should be the same as it is mostly dependent on CPU speed.

Multitasking should be theoretically be better on the G because it has more RAM available to the system. 910MB vs 840MB.

As for the Custom ROM's, once you get a launcher like SPB, you can basically ignore custom ROM's. So far there is only 1 custom ROM I think.

You are right on about the hardware part. I am pretty sure everyone wants the peace of mind with ori warranty, instead of a handphone shop that can close within months.

Well, my brother uses the G and he gets about 4 hours screen on time across 2 days running on TouchWiz and Agile Lock with the Nexus live wallpaper. Auto brightness, data off, wifi on when required. SMSing a lot too.

Does anyone know how to reduce the GTALK wakelock?

Where can i find the settings? I tried looking under Manage Apps and I could not see any app called google talk or gtalk. Is it caused by the GMail app?
