i'm going to buy Transcend Micro SD 16GB Class 10. Anyone here using it? any issue? notworthy.gif

I would avoid Transcend. My 8GB class 4 read speed is pathetic, about 5MBps.....my Kingston same size and capacity goes at about 18MBps

ouhh...so which one better? sandisk?
*
I would say Kingston is the best because it is just as fast as Sandisk, cheaper, and comes with lifetime warranty while the Sandisk comes with 3 or 5 years warranty.

There is no real need for a class 10 card, unless you are going to be transferring gigabytes of stuff every night. Save the money and buy a lower class or spend the money on a bigger capacity card. The main determining factor of speed in everyday use is read speeds, which is identical regardless of the class.

I just noticed that the G version has more RAM available. My non-g shows 835MB in Task Manager while the G shows 0.91GB which is 910MB. That is more than 10% more RAM than the non-g.

I see..yes I am very new to the Android OS and I am currently on stock rim. Tried reinstalling but the error still occurs. Would rooting and changing rom helps any? Just a courious question, would this be more of an app problem or otherwise?

Stock rim ? Try putting 22'' spinners tongue.gif

OC need custom kernel la. UC just root. Playing with voltage also need custom kernel.

That is true, but can use Tegrak Overclock Ultimate to overclock on any of the ROM's with the stock kernel or CF kernel.

To those non-g and stock ROM, check it out.

Haha. Do you still use your HD2 on Android? that one runs off a partitioned MicroSD card right? I am running Froyo on my Xperia X1 and the speed of it surprised me. OC'ed to 633MHz from 528MHz. I bet it must fly on your 1GHz.

Android rules!!!

My HD2 sold off d. Android on HD2 can run off the device no need to run off microsd so its just like any other android device.  thumbup.gif

But very limited space cos only 512 rom space. Was using CM7 gingerbread to save space then... It was very fast and smooth (cos of 1ghz) and way better than most ori android devices.  tongue.gif
*
Haha, did not know that they ran it off the NAND. Mine must partition the SD card so I can even make my ROM drive 10GB if I want to tongue.gif

I was surprised when the ROM file was only 70+MB. Ours is all 500MB+. hmm.gif

Back to topic. To those using ICS Domination 1.3 and want to upgrade to ICS 1.5 ( I am talking about the theme here). Make sure you flash the theme restore package, then only the ICS 1.5. I skipped the theme restore and was using the phone happily on ADW, then found out my TW was on an endless loop trying to start!!! . So had to flash the restore package then only the ICS 1.5

I wonder why nobody asks Gokhan to make a Siyah kernel for the G-versions. He even makes them for those other region S2's.

You need to flash back the zimage of the CF-root to have CWM. Do this through the CWM app. The zimage you can extract from the CF-root zip file

Does anyone know how to change the time of the service providers clock? or make the SMS'es follow the phone time instead of the Hotlink provided time? Now when I receive SMS'es it appears before my message because my time is faster than the one provided by Hotlink. It is so screwed up.

I know I can make the time auto update, but that time is slower than the Astro time.

Changing the behaviour of the Messaging part of the phone may be difficult. Why not sync up your time so that it's correct, instead of being faster than other clock?

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Dec 1 2011, 10:51 PM)
I don't know we can do that. Meaning if I set my phone watch 5 minutes earlier it won't sync with my SMS? Confused blush.gif
*
Yeah, that is the problem I have, because all my sent messages appear after the received, because of my phone time.

I guess I will just have to stick with their shitty time. I do not see why the phone cannot tag the SMS'es according to when it is received, not use whatever time the telco decides to attach to the message.

I had the same problem with my N97, but that one ignored the time and arranged the messages according to sequence. Can any other SMS program do this?

There are mods on xda to make the sms show either sent time or the receive time. Dunno if this will help your problem.

It looks a lot like a manufacturing defect. Was the battery like that when you just bought the phone? If they refuse to replace it, use your phone like normal. If your phone is damaged by the battery, go and complain to consumer association if they don't repair the phone. If you or anyone else is hurt, just sue them.

I cannot believe they have the 'tidak apa' attitude.

Not true. Best would be overclock and lock CPU to 1.6GHz, GPU to 400MHz, overvolt, and then run Antutu.

why? antutu stresses the processors?
*
Yep, stresses the hardware to the max. Some overclocks feel stable because you can use it daily, but when you benchmark using Antutu, the phone will crash, because the voltage is too low. Each Antutu benchmark takes like 5% or more of the battery if I am not mistaken.

I got my charger with a battery for less than RM30. The charger also has a USB port for charging the phone or other devices at the same time. The pins can be folded back so it becomes like a small case for the battery. Damn awesome.
