The camera White Balance compensated thus showing more light than there is, but these bulbs are are still much brighter than those yellow halogen bulbs...

Those OSRAM Nightbreaker or Philips Extreme Power bulbs should be JPJ compliant as you only change the bulbs.... however, as the bulbs are much brighter, you could be subjected to JPJ check at roadblocks (you know, they trying to fish for.... errr... errr...), only JPJ roadblocks will stop you for HID....

The thing for me are these bulbs are sometimes more expensive than HID while having lesser light than HID, thus I HID mine... As for the glare, I have my light switch installed and can lower it anytime i think mine is glaring the drivers on the other side...

NOTE: as our headlamp have bulb sleeves that covers the naked bulb (the light thrown are mainly via the reflectors), our HID dont seem to be really glaring from the opposite side, bright yes - glare not so... but his is my personal views la...

PS: I have overtaken a few JPJ ronda vehicles on highways and KL roads, and numerous police blocks, no problem with HID or even red colored headlamp wells...

Added on November 27, 2011, 5:55 pmI suppose they both work the same, its just that K&N is more proven and are in more cars than the rest like Pipercross (I only know AllenZz uses it, amongst the many K&N Inspira users) and Simota.... and many accessories shops are more familiar at washing K&N using K&N products, and they may even wash those other branded filters with K&N set too....

If both priced the same, me rather use K&N for the same reasons....

I have no idea Ralliart had their own drop in filter, tho which I would think that these are OEM from the other brands (K&N, Simota, Pipercross, etc)... so I'd still rather get a proven brand K&N and not blindly grab anything Mitsu/Ralliart branded items without much research due to brand affinity....

Added on November 27, 2011, 11:25 pmI have NEVER seen the refuel warning, usually top up when car is 1/3 left.... best to maintian life of fuel pump....

Pls be reminded that these surface protection is to maintain the glow and shine of the under paint coat, these coatings are NOT miracle cure to prevent dirt, swirls, bird poo stains or watermarks....

They will be there if you dont religiously wash and clean your car immediately after kena bird poo.... and watermarks will also form if you leave the acidic rain water to dry in the hot sun....

The current rainy season will help PPS/SG users, as cleaning the car is much easier, as you just need a bucket of water to wipe the dirt off.....

Added on November 27, 2011, 11:38 pm1-2 cm is quite high over the F-hole.... my advise is for you to loosen the oil filter, drain some off, then twist the oil filter back (or you can change a new oil filter).... could be quite messy tho....

Try not to over fill engine oil.... too much oil could over flow to create foamy oil (weakens its lubrication properties, read the links for why) or could even reach the gasket (oil in rubber = not good)...

Added on November 27, 2011, 11:43 pmOpen your engine bonnet, look for the Proton engine cover (in front of driver seat), there is a hole with a yellow dipstick (thats the name, the stick that dips into the oil to check the level).... pull it out and you see two holes marked (E) near the "twisted" end and (F) about 2 cm on top....

Do not over fill engine oil higher past the F-hole....

Oh... try inserting the dipstick slowly back into the hole, if its stuck, pull out and re-try by wriggling it a little... its made of thin flexible material and you could bend it if too much force is applied to insert it back in.....

100% is 100% brighter than normal halogen bulb (donno how many lumens in actual, was never revealed) while 80% is 80% brighter lor....

All marketing talk.... I doubt many can tell the diff between 80% vs 100% brighter....
