Bethesda's open-world RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, empowers players by giving them a lot of freedom in controlling how they experience the game. Last week, we posted a tongue-in-cheek video illustrating how you can take this to an extreme level by playing the game as a mindless first-person action game.
But there's at least one thing Skyrim prohibits you from doing: killing innocent children. That is, until now.
On the Skyrim Nexus modding community website, a modder by the name Xylozi has created the "Killable Children" mod, which removes Bethesda's block against physically harming children in the game. Normally when you attempt to attack children in Skyrim, they flee in the opposite direction. But now you can kill children as much as you want.
Prohibiting players from harming children has appeared in previous Bethesda games like Fallout. It's quite clear the developer doesn't want players engaging in this kind of behavior. But even though this is clearly a fantasy game set in a fictional world unlike our own, should there be lines that we as gamers won't cross?
Unless you have a mod, you cant kill them no matter how you tried. They just wont die.
You can be a mage in heavy armor. You can be a thief that casts fireballs and summons. You can dual equip shields... no, wait...
However, some builds have an easier time against certain npcs, some have it harder.
Yea, and somehow I find it not deep enough to draw a clear line what should be what. Unlike the Dungeon & dragons Series (NWN, BG, IWD) where your spell can fizzle when you are on heavy armor.

They want the players to be whatever they want. If you wanna be a mage with heavy armor go ahead, just waste the limited (or unlimited, depends on how you see the slow levelling after 50-cap) numbers of perks to your heavy armor.
Giving absolute penalty like fizzling spells on heavy armor somehow forces people to abandon it. Whats the point of giving you the chance to train heavy armor if its gonna suck anyway, right?
Mein 100 sneak Dunmer is too imba, feel like whole world cant see my existence after i sneak. Now playing a new Redguard tanker, gameplay & feeling totally different, as in throat-sliting style vs *COME AT ME BRO* style.
you guys play how many characters? I only play 1 and not quite like my Argonian (too weak, beat Krosis using tgm , I was overpowered that time).
I still have my level 38 redguard sword and shield fighter. 50 hours and counting. Haven't really done the main quest yet, still busy doing side quests and leveling up enchanting
I love my redguard, best defense, great offense, spam shield bash to stagger enemies into submission.
Planning to play a caster or thief next.

I am addicted to the Slow Time shout. There's something very satisfying about dodging arrows matrix style and then blasting a thunderbolt into their face

i wonder what will happen if we attack the greybeards? gonna try tonight. hehehe...
Some characters that are important to main quest I guess will be given the immortality tag as well. It was done like that in Oblivion.
