QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Dec 4 2011, 01:33 AM) What settings are you guys running the game under and what are your setups? i7 920 (stock)I see that they have a special edition of the GTX560ti. Skyrim Edition. http://www.geforce.com/News/articles/pny-t...i-now-available Mine's a leadtek but should be almost same no? I'm using the same card but i'm getting FPS as low as 2x-3X. Averages at 40-50 using the detect settings option. How do i increase my framerates? I lowered AA and filtering to run on Ultra Settings at 1600x900 with AA lowered to 2X and filtering to 4x. Still getting an all low of 38fps. Geforce GTX580 (stock) Resolution: 1920x1200 Graphic settings: Max Level of AA: 4xAA FPS: hovers around 40 to 60 plus |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Dec 4 2011, 10:12 AM) i7 920 (stock) That's a monster card. Cannot compare to my GTX560Ti. Geforce GTX580 (stock) Resolution: 1920x1200 Graphic settings: Max Level of AA: 4xAA FPS: hovers around 40 to 60 plus Price also more than twice the amount of my card. Will try to disable AA and use FXAA instead. Or i'll try lower the draw distance. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Dec 4 2011, 10:30 AM) The irony of it is that i don't use my laptop for gaming. Maybe 30mins for a run on Fallout:NV. The rest of its use is maybe word processing. I'll install Skyrim in it. Tonight will go back and tweak the setting more on my desktop. |

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Dec 4 2011, 10:16 AM) That's a monster card. Cannot compare to my GTX560Ti. In this game, FXAA is a less demanding version of AA, if you have FXAA ON, 4X AA is more than enough, 2X AA is acceptable. Price also more than twice the amount of my card. Will try to disable AA and use FXAA instead. Or i'll try lower the draw distance. For a monster card that can do more than MAX on this game, you can mess round with graphic settings that is not on the Launcher for extra eye candy, it's in My Document > My Games > Skyrim > skyrim.ini. e.g. the shadows can be set to higher reso and smoother edge, further the LOD (you can see details in faraway landscape). Anyways guys, have you done the 'archery mod'? Good mod, simple script mod in skyrim.ini,(cut and paste few lines) it furthers the kill distance (you can actually sniper a target far away given you are good at archery) |

I am still facing random CTDs after the patch.
However, the LLA still works, I am going to go with that instead. |

Shinji Mikami's studio gets Skyrim shipment, may never get any work done now
![]() QUOTE Former Capcom superstar Shinji Mikami formed the development studio Tango last year, and it has yet to produce a tangible product -- and after this generous gift from sibling company Bethesda Game Studios, we shouldn't expect any progress for another year or so. Bethesda, part of the Zenimax Group with Tango, sent one Skyrim collector's edition for every employee at Mikami's studio, which, as we can see in the photo, is more than two. Tango is based in Tokyo, but Bethesda sent over English versions of Skyrim because there is no collector's edition for the Japanese version, and because people in countries that aren't the U.S. generally know more than one language. They call it globalization. Weird. Source: Joystiq |
