I know I'm late to the punch. but I wonder what will trickle down to us DX users in the future. d400? I want illuminated buttons on my DX too!

The right way to do it is just to concentrate on the face. Not smoothen everything else.
Errr... Not every PnS has this AutoISO feature though.
Neat. Side question is how do we know that the video was made using a D4 and not a 5DMkII instead? Does a video have taggings like EXIF?

I also notice some underwater shots. They already have underwater casing for D4?  hmm.gif

not all have AutoISO but most should have for newer PnS's.

I was thinking the same thing. How can we be sure its not 5dMkii hehe. still d4 is way out of my budget, nice to see but not going to aim for it. Maybe some other ppl will upgrade from d700 and hopefully sell to me the d700 cheap cheap! thumbup.gif

Jared Polin says its a great wedding camera, Dom Bower says it's not for wedding...

I think if bring this camera to shoot wedding, it's going to be a DSLR king man!!!

Extreme High ISO performance, Burst rate like M16.... your imagination and creativity is the limits... But if your imagination can be wild, wow! I'm waiting to see such works with this awesome camera. smile.gif

but you have to remember all of them are looking for publicity. non have actually used it in the field for a period of time. they can talk until the cows fly also no use if they do not own and use one for a while. lets sit back and watch.

Actually i dun like CF card. my 1st dSLR was a d80 which uses a SD card. When I upgraded to d300 I also had to change to a bulkier and more expensive (at that time) CF card. I was thinking to my self, the CF card looks so outdated, still pins and stuff.

Something that looks outdated does not mean not good. How much bulkier is the CF compared to the SD that makes people complain? If you're talking about 13.3" 1.4kg notebook with more firepower vs a 14" 2.5kg notebook, the lighter one with slightly less screen size is more desirable because of the weight difference. But what I generally hear is that SD cards are too fragile that it gets misplaced.

Dont get me wrong. I didnt say CF is not good. Just kinda annoyed when I had to change all my perfectly working SD for CF cards. I cant say for others but memory cards are like GOLD to me. cant be absent minded to lose or break it, all the photos will be gone la~ So I generally take good care of it (better than my lens anyways). And memory prices keep dropping there is not really a chance to resell without major loses. Its good tat the D4 is providing option to have CF & QXD instead of QXD ONLY.

On subject of i-TTL. I was like u all previously very annoyed with the "inconsistency" of it. Then I met Joe McNally. Now, less annoyed. sweat.gif

Added on January 11, 2012, 12:02 amand my friend made a preorder for the D4 with Nikon Msia... when I ask him whats the price, he said dunno. They will tell him when stock arrive next month. reason for buying, his D700 malfunctioned, and in service for nearly a month now.

From what I understand from my friend's Nikon sensors 'degrade' over time. Even at ISO's where previously no noise, slowly more will appear. Its an unproven theory. Maybe he jst wanna find excuse to upgrade. Prior to meeting my friend in Penang I also kind of notice like how come normally at 800 ISO quite low noise previously, but lately seems like more. But, to me, its still acceptable.hmm
