ok. lighting not that good. but overall table is good. challenger. good bounce. net also there. just bring bat and then can sweat out.
*
Had a good "sweat" session with K2002 yesterday evening. Good feeling after long time never sweat it out already.
Thanks for sparring and stroking for a full hour, K2002.

Ya, Jim2 long time no see or hear already. If free come join us at Avenue K, Jalan Ampang.

As for the lightings, I think if we move the table away to another spot, maybe will be better. Else whoever stand on that spot will "blind"by the bright lights of the shops.

Have a Great weekend, friends. rclxms.gif

Paiseh to tell, i think the rubber has been with the bat for quite few years, friendship brand 729 if i'm not mistaken. not branded i guess  blush.gif
*
Not to say not branded, brainpower.
If you ask most the advance player here they will tell you they started with RITC 729 many years ago due to economical rubber and easy to find.
Now most Chinese rubbers are economical compared with the likes of Butterfly brand (can cost more than RM200)
If you need information on rubbers and its charateristics, do pm or watsapp me.

Cheers.

20 years ago im using RITC 729~ that time only cost <RM20 , then later upgraded to globe 999 , hurricane II , hurricane III ,Haifu whale and now im using TSP VENTUS
*
TSP from Japan is also a good but not so "famous" brand in Malaysia.
Ventus is a good rubber.
Deadevil - using speed or spin? (For everyone info. one is a medium sponge rubber while the other one is soft)

Thanks PingPang and Deadevil. I did some google search and found out there are too many choices now and how to know which is suitable? Also how do you know whether is the rubber still usable lol...
*
Depends on the player. Do you like to play with spin ar just "whack / smash /hit" the ball back?
For players who like to play with spin (top or under or side / loop) preferably a soft sponge or medium soft rubber, IMO, is suitable.
For Blockers and hitters a medium to medium hard rubber is suitable.
For hard hitters or playing with speed without spin or like the Malay wording " main sepak sahaja", then a hard rubber, IMO, is preferred.

Degree of softness/hardness is measured in double digit numbers. The higher the number, the harder it gets.

For eg. Butterfly Sriver has 3 types many "Moons" (years) ago - Sriver FX, Sriver and Sriver EL (or was it L, couln't remember). FX is measured at 32 degree, Sriver at 35 and the last one at 37 degree. That means FX is the softest of the lot. But nowadays many model from Sriver had appeared like Sriver G2, Sriver G3 etc.

Please note that Japanese and European Rubbers normally cost more than most Chinese Rubber. Some companies JV or collaborate with companies from China, eg. Nittaku with DHS resulting in the Hurricane series of Rubber has DHS Hurricane 3 and Nittaku Huricane 3. To talk more about rubbers /blades / table tennis in general may take several pages here.
We can discuss this over a cuppa teh tarik in future.

So having said all that, brainpower, ask yourself what type of player you are. Then decide the type of rubber you need.
Don't worry so much about brands.

Tengahman started this group for TT players who played in Puchong. The Group slowly grew to include friends or players from all over. Normally they play at KSL futsal center every Tuesday or Thursday night after 9pm.
