Someone once posted that he is staying in Mont Kiara/Hartamas area and in his condo area there is table tennis facility. Please browse through this thread for his contact.

Malaysia just concluded a major World Table Tennis event, the World Tabletennis Team Championship.

Was part of this event as a Match Official, learn many things especially from foreign Blue Badge International Umpires. (Note: only full fledge Blue Badge umpires are shorlisted to umpire in Olympics, as these match officials uphold the highest standards in table tennis umpiring)

Next major (local) event will be the Malaysian Youth Championship (now known as Cadet and Junior event.).

sure will! i do keep your number..hahahahaha

its quite nice bat.. much lighter than my previous bat.. and the control is nice too.. although the rubber is slow... (i have no much moneh for dat..hahaha tongue.gif )

Hello akahao. Finished your studies in TARC?
Nice looking bat you have there. If you find it slow, go for medium or medium hard rubbers.
Butterfly Flextra is for recreational/children/beginner/starter. A better option is to use Sriver if you want that all-round feel.
Tibhar Phantom is a medium soft rubber, that's why you feel your set-up (bat = rubbers) are slow.

I would recommend some medium to medium hard Chinese rubber like Hurricane 3 or YinHe Moon or Dawei Superpower 2008. Costs ranges from RM35 - RM50.

Hope to play with you again once you are in KL akahao.

There is another center in Taman sri Manja, besides Old Klang Road.
MSA Table Tennis center, run by Suhaidin, ex-Kedah player.

It's so unfortunate that union isn't among the group of places up there. But personally, I wouldn't advise it for the average player anyway.
*
Union is in the original list, Steven, but nowadays is a preferred choice among the better than average player. Not for newbies or "once in a while tt enthusiast".
Other places in PJ are the Yuk Choy Old Boys school in Taman MAyang and 2 or 3 other church groups that played in section 13 and 14 PJ.

The Puchong list and whatsapp group was the idea of tengaman with the purpose of getting tt enthusiasts around Puchong area to meet up and play.
And we are here to help or guide each other on all things related to tt.

Have a good week ahead Steven.

Cheers.

Hello guys. I was looking for table tennis group and found this thread.

Are this group still active? Anybody playing at Shah Alam?

Tlg tunjuk ajar sifu2 dan taiko2. >.<"
*

Hope that helps.

Hi sifu2 here.. i have a question to ask.

Is there any differences for the shakhand blade to play backhand as forehand and forehand as backhand? What i mean is when i bought a blade wothout rubbers, they will indicate which side is front and which side is back right? I glued my rubbers wrongly which make me need to play backside of the blade as forehand and front side of the blade as backhand.. will this affect my play? Thanks
*
No difference for handshake play

I went to search for the above two places:

1. Kelab Ping Pong Bomba Ss15 - they claimed that people do play there, but only starts at about 10pm. That was a bit late for me.

2. Church of St Thomas More - people there told me that they do not have regular players there and ping pong does not seem to be a sport for regular activities there.

Anywhere else to play around Subang area?
Or probably Damansara area? (Not PJ Union please as my level is not that high yet)
*
Subang area, can try the followings :
1) Goodyear Court 10
2) Sunway Lagoon Club (Tuesday & Thursday, 8.30pm-10.30pm)
3) Subang Lake Club
4) TUDM Base, Subang
