Hey guys.. I just got back in action after a decade... Tend to buy a new handshake bat with new rubbers... I read through articles that nowadays it is better to get Carbon layers... Any recommendation, Im going for control playing style.

Hello Justin,

Contrary to what people said, don't get carbon bat if you want to play a controlled game unless your standard is at a certain level where you can control your game.
Why? Theoritacally a carbon bat is faster than a , say, 5-ply wooden blade/bat. Reason carbon is a solid material, don't flex as compare with wood. When a ball bounced off a carbon bat as compare with a wooden bat. the feel off effect of bounciness is different.

anyway defer buying something first till you are sure. I can lend you my 5-ply wooden handshake bat or you can try K2002 carbon bat (fitted with soft rubber). And if you can lend your friend 7-ply or 9-ply wooden bat, try all of them before you decide.

BTW, where are you located Justin?

Hello jim-jim,
Long time no hear from you. Do you still plays in Star Elite?

6-8 players coz stroking which to me is more important than playing matches. By the 1 1/2 to 2 hours mark of strenous stroking, (imagine against player like K2002 standard) one will feel good sweating it out. So 2 tables with 4 players to a table cross stroke.

Hi pingpang. ha..long time didn't go to star Elite, puchong is a bit far to me.

Any review or anyone try this two rubber between Donic Acuda S2 vs Donic Bluefire M2 rubber?
TQ

I think K2002 is using Blue Fire M2(or is it 3).
Maybe he can give feedback to you.

Actually I myself seldom play attacking... Just play defence and spinning more... I wish to get a light blade which is easy for me to play spinning... Else it would be very exhausting... While for the rubber... Im thinking to get Sriver EL.. Should be more than enough.. right? I based at Manjalara.. Usually play at The Challenger Kepong

Kepong side, I am not so familiar. But at Jinjang (SJKC Jinjang South) got many people play there in the evening.
It is also a center for KL juniors (below 13 years old) development in table tennis.

Hi Justin, I can only answer for myself.
I don't play weekly, only when I have got time and I play all ovwr the place. Trying to fix every Thursday at Avenue K but depends on "kakis".

Sure, why not.
There is no discrimination on our part (especially me) whether you are beginner or expert level in table tennis. Important thing is have fun, sweat and have a good table tennis session.
I don't mind playing with noobs or experts (that is if they are willing to play with me) alike.

So, keyser soze, please join us this Thursday at Avenue K 6.30pm.
Please take note Avenue K shopping mall is above the Putra line LRT Station and the table tennis area is located at Level 3.

Hello stalvinchew,

Near your area will be at TUDM Subang. Yes in the Air Force base itself where the RMAF personnel are playing table tennis. Else at MBSA. Not sure time and day from what I heard the staff play there.

I can't make it for Thursday at Avenue K, after the next two (2) Thursday, (ie after 20/8) as I have my darts league coming every Thursday for the next 2 - 3 months.
If you guys are comfortable with playing at Avenue K on Thursday, please carry on by putting notice or information either here in LYN or in the Watsapp Group.

Cheers.
