Hey there bodybuilders, I'm currently 15 and i have been reading alot of articles bout Nutrition Diet, Workout training, Body building is like my long life passion i just love to do but i have no clue at first. Here's a list of my body readings.
*All these are precise, i used digital scale

My currently weight is 55.5kg
Height = 165cm
Bodyfat = 6.0%
H20 = 68.6
BMR = 1540
Muscle mass = 50.6

I'm really confuse as my body fat is 6.0% i'm consider skinny if people look at me.
I wanted to know what muscle mass number should i aim for, and for my bodyfat is it consider normal? I know google helps but i can't find any infomation for teens regarding muscle mass and body fat.

Just need to know what should i aim for on my list. A goal or something.

On the diet eh:
1 slice of peanut butter bread, 3 spoons of oats and a cup of milk for breakfast
Supper 2 slice of peanut butter with cheese and cup of milk.
Lunch i eat whatever my mom cook for me I split my lunch at in 2 meal. etc 1pm ate 4pm ate again.
I been doing this for like half months from 45kg to 55kg.
Had a skinny genes.

For starters, the stickies would be a good place to begin reading. There's a lot of information there. Since you're just starting out, you can pretty much just look through the stickies and pick a routine because you'll get gains on any program provided you eat and rest enough.

You'll need to eat more than that, though. More protein in your diet because from what it looks like, a lot of it is carbs and a bit of fats (which are good in their own right, as well, but balancing your macronutrients is important) And as for bodyfat, the lower the better, TBH. But expect an increase in bodyfat if you start eating more than your caloric maintenance levels. (Gaining a lot of fat or a little bit of fat depends on your diet) But still, being able to start out at a very low level of bodyfat is a good thing.

I have to agree with you the stickies are really good. I read them alot, you're one of the famous out there with darklight. By more protein in my diet like adding a cheese to my peanut butter bread. What i don't understand it the muscle mass. If i eat alot and if my body fat increase will my muscle mass increase? Of course by doing a routine workout.

By more protein I mean meat (chicken, fish, etc etc) and eggs. Cheese and peanut butter are okay for some healthy fats and a bit of protein, but you want something denser like meat to get enough protein. And it's best to try to have a good balance of protein, carbs and good fats for every meal. Carbs and fats aren't evil, contrary to popular belief, which is why striking a balance of all 3 macro's is important.

How much muscle mass or body fat you gain really depends on you, since everyone is different and as such reacts differently to things. But if you train consistently and train hard (and train smart, which means leaving the ego outside the gym), as well as give your body sufficient nutrients and time to recover, it's inevitable that you'll gain muscle.

One more thing, I can't believe I forgot this. I can't stress enough on the importance of perfecting your form with any exercise you do before you start ramping weights. Remember, this is bodybuilding, the important thing is not how much you lift, but how much you look like you can lift. Plus, strength gains will come eventually anyway.

I see, you mean perfecting the workout routine rather than putting more weight. It's hard to perfect with just videos and images on computer where no one teach you. But i will try my best. Just curious what is the percentage of body fat, h20 level, muscle mass, on average a good bodybuilder. I know every one's different i just want a number thanks man.

Yeah, it's not easy to do without someone to guide you. But it's very possible. Other than watching and absorbing the information from instructional videos, the best way to gauge your form is to record yourself and post it up to have someone more experienced look at it and hence give pointers on how to improve.

Generally, competition ready bodybuilders have 2-5% bodyfat. But minimising water retention among other things is what gives them the dry and grainy look. Can't really give you any other figures since I'm not all that sure myself. smile.gif

2 - 5% and they can only retain that for so long. body aint meant to survive with such low bodyfat levels. there is no number to shoot for. look in the mirror. thats the best number you can see.

i dont think most here even knows how much their muscle mass is tbh. i know i dont.

go to a gym and observe the ones that you think knows what hes doing and copy. ain't too hard. of course browse throught LOTS of videos and tutorials. post vids here for form checks.

Thanks i been looking the wrong direction to actually observe results. I can't go the gym yet man. Just 15 ._.
I went to a supplement store in midvalley, they advice don't take supplement below 18. It may damage your kidneys. I stunned is it true? Or just maybe i am underweight. They just say add more protein and carbs in meal.

Why can't you go to the gym? AFAIK gym's don't have age requirements, or at least the ghetto gyms don't. For supplements, whey and a multivitamin, not absolutely necessary of course, but good to have. They're right about you eating more, but to say it'll damage your kidneys is totally ignorant and misguided.

Yes, so like I mentioned, supplements are good to have, but not necessary. So for the time being, concentrate on getting more quality meals in throughout the day.

And there's a difference between someone who genuinely wants to achieve goals and someone who thinks he wants to achieve goals. It's good and refreshing to see you're the former, people like you who, even though are only starting out, but put in the effort to do research and better themselves, so good on you, man. Cheers.

That's great to hear! My surrounding friends always give an energy of i'm too young to do bodybuilding.I dunno the myth stunt growth base on my research are bullshit yet they keep persuading me not to do it. Hence i have a short genes. I read Arnold biography it shows his 12 when he started bodybuilding @@.
