Believe me. Been there, done that.

Sony's line of stuff's always have a drastic price drop after 2-3 months.

too slow already for tegra2, now ppl want tegra3(codenamed Kal-El) soon can be found in upcoming Asus Transformer Prime.

It's mean for music only... tegra2 more than enough power already.

If for music only A series also more than enough lar~ Need dual core and touch screen meh?

If music better spend on a PMP/DAP with decent amp

for a small resolution 800x480 tegra2 should be fine already

There is a diffrence in trying a product and not liking it. and not giving it a chance. 800 by 480 4.3 bravia mobile sony screens aren't bad. tegra 2 dual core with 512mb ram is good if not the best pmp (hardware wise).

THIS IS A PMP (PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER, NOT A HUGE METAL PLATED TABLET.)

sony's previous mp3s were pretty bare in features and specs, but thier sound quality (especially thier digital s master amp) is one of the best sounding out of the box music players. no huge need for (lod amps? rockbox? power amps? etc) and with this player you get android 2.3 goodness (so you can play flac, you can use power amp, Equ etc).

I think in my opinion this is the best all round media player sony have created, ipod will probably match features and hardware with next ipod 5 (but that's a platform prefrence). however i will be as bold as to say, it will not match sony's sound quality.

japanese conversion prices are always more expensive than the actual price when system is released in its specific region. if this is priced similar to ipod touch or hopefully just below. it will definetly give ipod a run for its money, (for me anyway)ng

Currently i have a samsung galaxy s 5.0 media player, while i love the media capabilities of it, my r.i.p sony x series kills it in sound quality, as soon as the z series comes out my wife will get the android sammy she always nags me for, and i will have the best of both worlds with the sony.

I bet u can't tell the diff between a sony and an iPod in a blind test, with all eq turned off. I probably can't even tell the diff between my iPod and hm601 which is supposed to be worlds apart. Unless one hisses and the other does not.

Since I use an iPod touch, the Sony display is a downgrade for me

Will try when it arrive in malaysia. Wonder if they allow me to bring my headphones to their store and try or not.

I always use my own earphone or headphones including my own amp when I test at Sony... they don't care much.

C4 How bout i bring my amp + laptop + headphones and try ah? That time i plug out their headphones from their sony player and use for my phone they also look at me alr like cannot try If possible i wanna bring laptop ,amp , headphones there

Eh.. what is the point bringing laptop... we talking about testing Sony NW-Z1000 Andriod MP3. Not sony headphone.

ehhhh ya hor forgot. Erm guys A series and the new X series sound the same? i personally have 1 A series.
