I do not wants my thread to become the reason of any bad things happen to others. Thank You nod.gif .

I like to share my experience in "Psoriasis" & seeks help from everyone which can help me smile.gif
I know every time when we have problem we need to visit "Doctor" or google it which I did tried before. Dozen of article from wiki's, blogs, product selling page which is very useful hints for me.

So far I found Vitamins E / Fish Oil as nutrition & Dead sea salt bath product which is quite effective on it, anyone here can share with me any trusted brands for above mention nutrition & dead sea salt product which we can find in malaysia or safely buying online?

Of course I need to tell the condition of patient "Psoriasis"

Condition:-
1. Patient suffer more then 30 years & now age 60+.
2. Whole body infected from head to toe.

Medication & problem history:-
1. From beginning patient get Creams to apply on skin which contains "steroids" *as i know from wiki, this steroids must continues use from day to day. Until one day (after 20years) patient run out of cream and did not use it for more then 1-2 week, "Psoriasis" begin to exploded into terrifying effect and makes patient non-stop fever, skin become SUPER RED & very weak. Then admitted to Hospital. Lucky "patient" survive in this period and able to live again happily.

2. Now patient have to continues apply the same cream BUT not like last time, as doctor said patient skins become healthier and provide lesser % steroids cream for patient. Now skin becomes "Red" again after patients Vitamins E runs out for 1 week & without dead sea salt for "unknown *my mistake which i did not monitor it" amount of time. Until today I let patient continue back the Vitamin E.

Is there any "non-profit" organization out there which I can contact and seek for more solid info? I serious do not have that much $ to look for so many skin-care doctor outside as they already had patient $ for more then 20 years. I hope sifu's in here can provide me more info to defend this "Psoriasis" notworthy.gif

All comment are welcome. Sorry for my bad English and kindly correct me. nod.gif

I know it suck. Any disease which affect physicalk appearance usually give the patient hell in their life even if its not life threatening. Thats why I dont have bad image towards them.

I know of another forummer who also have psoriasis but think its not good for me to point him out. Maybe he will join this discussion when he sees this thread smile.gif
*
together we can fight it, we don't have to ignore or scare of psoriasis appearance patient coz psoriasis "DON'T SPREAD TO OTHERS" drawback is psoriasis patient scare others spread disease to them. cry.gif but I really aware of Psoriasis product scammer which i scare the most.

sometime its hard to explain to ppl about this sick, coz their 1st question is , "is it spread?" doh.gif

avoid all type fish/sea food since some kind tend to make me itchy.
avoid chicken, alcohol(ah mostly i only drink plain water)
avoid all oily and spicy.
sleep atleast 6 hour+ or less i felt scalp developing so fast.
must take shower 3 or 2 time a day, water make me feel better.
everybody is diffrent , this is some tips i develop for mine.

as previous post #8
"I really aware of Psoriasis product scammer which i scare the most"
i waste alot of money trusting derma and medicine , whats is the point suppressing a sick, as soon your stop the medic , it will get worst than ever! - from my own experience.

Control Your life, dont let medicine control your life!

Yes you are all correct. Its the public perception that destroys your lives. Getting judged based on your disease is just not fair!!

People should be more understanding and caring towards patients and not add more to their suffering.

Most important thing is to make awareness to the public about you guys condition so they understand what is Psoriasis and other things that they fear. How they can help and stuff like that. I think there's an association somewhere in Malaysia cos I read about it sometime before in newspaper.

Btw, Im not infected with it and very grateful for what I have in my life smile.gif

I agreed what u said and thank god ur not psoriasis patient. But u r still a nice person which helping me spreading this thread to let more ppl knows "psoriasis" don't spread. hope more ppl comes in here and share so we can counter psoriasis and make psoriasis patient a better way to live + hope to live without psoriasis one day! thumbup.gif

I have psoriasis. Over 80% coverage of body mass.

The thing is, I suggest the "patient" finds a doctor who knows what psoriasis really is. A GP isn't going to cut it. You'll need to find a good dermatologist. Follow the doc's advice.

Usually, alcohol is a main trigger for psoriasis. Aside from that, food that affects the patient differs for each person. Be mindful of what is ingested so notes can be taken on which food causes a relapse.

Also, lifestyle is a HUGE deal. Exercise, balanced diet, rest, stress (emotional and physical) all have some bearing on psoriasis. The problem is that most people have problems maintaining that sort of disciplined lifestyle and get upset about it. That in turn, aggravates the psoriasis. Its unfortunate but life isn't fair.

On a personal note, i have found that as long as I keep exercising (I box) and have a balanced lifestyle, psoriasis relapse aren't that severe. My relapses occur mainly because I can't give up the Guinness.

"Patient" use to have follow up schedule from Ampang hospital, doctor use to arrange the "cream type" *looks like body lotion* day after day it "patient" skin become better n better. We follow all appointment to see doctor, after doctor sees patient skin become better, doctor begin the give lesser "cream type" medication and appointment become 6 month later. Now patient skin problem comes back a bit i scare it becomes like last time it happens to exploded to another illness again, i try to send patient to the same ampang hospital and they said must wait for appointment. Any suggestion on this issue? or must I send patient to private dermatologist? Any recommendation for me to make a survey on it? thank you for reading/responding on this thread notworthy.gif

Supermarket ones are about Rm$18 for small bottle, which should last you for months. It is clear colourless, no chemicals from processing, very light smell, not unpleasant. Stays fresh at room temperature, hardens in fridge.
You can use it to cook or even some people swallow a spoonful every day because of health benefits.

Most of the products are essentially the same thing except for some which is targeted for skin/hair treatment. Those listed in the first section are all virgin coconut oil only in different sizes and the addition of vitamin E.

Those with vitamin E are more expensive because vitamin E are expensive and have many other benefits which enhances the body's immune system. However you can just try the one without vitamin E if your condition is not bad.

Psoriasis are characterized by inflammation, the anti-inflammatory properties of coconut oil make this a perfect treatment option. Unprocessed virgin coconut oil is most effective and can be applied directly to the affected area of skin. Of course your lifestyle is the most important in controlling it. For example, eating too many omega-6 fatty acids (found in many polyunsaturated fats and used in pre-packaged foods poor in whole food vitamins) promotes inflammation. In addition, scratching skin lesions enhances inflammation and prevents healing. Finally, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and overeating all promote skin inflammation can counteract the healing effects of coconut oil.

I also used to have skin problems so I understand your difficulty especially those treatment that doesnt work. I cannot guarantee that once using vco your condition will go away but for me it does improve the condition.

I truly understand there is no guarantee psoriasis to cure right away, coz the chances to cure it are extremely LOW. Anyhow I will look forward to ur product, will PM u ASAP after I decide which to get from u. Thank you for taking time in this replies notworthy.gif

QUOTE(XterNalz @ Feb 1 2012, 04:33 PM)
The only thing that works for me is traditional chinese medicine. My TCM doctor is very experienced, the first time he saw my symptoms, he said I just need to keep my body cooling (in terms of TCM) then the body will have the right environment to heal it by itself. More plain water, sleep early,  lots of fibre (others like carbo/protein just keep them limited), take a lot of cooling foods (cincau/ coconut water/ herbal tea/ small bittergourd juice). After 6 months of good practice and intake of his medicine, I only have some tiny/thin scales left on my scalp. (no other body parts, it has been so long since I face serious itchiness) Also, I can now gain some body weight (before this, I was turning so skinny, no matter how I eat last time, i could not gain weight).

*No, I don't rely on topical stuffs like creams/ointment/steroid/soap, they are worthless.
*
god bless on ur condition & i'm happy to hear good news like u had smile.gif
may i know how long u suffer from psoriasis b4 u get this cure from doctor? btw, what is TCM?

I have it for like 5 to 6 years. I was an active member of all major psoriasis discussion boards and tried any possible method with no significant results. Now, I don't even need to visit those forums. TCM = traditional chinese medicine.

Fellow psoriasis people, don't give up. I was mentally stressed last time also, could not accept it.

Hi Everyone
Desperately needed help here. My down syndrome sister aged 30 years old having quite serious psoriasis on her arms and legs. The scaling patch on her legs are quite red and itchy. Went to see a dermatologist but no use. Given transfer factor capsules and Vit E capsule for a month seems looks better no after stop, the redness came back. Decided to continue back but now needed something to stop the itchiness. Would appreciate for some advice. Does submerge both legs in salt water helps ??
