Some update to share at here, it might solve your problem. This solution apply to those who don't have external sound card and only use on board sound card which is "Realtek" brand.
SLI + Realtek HD Audio Driver = Crash in between 5-20 minutes of game play, happen randomly.
Without SLI + Without Realtek HD Audio Driver = No crash for 2 hour plus game play.
SLI + Without Realtek HD Audio Driver = No Crash for 2 hour plus game play.
SLI + latest Realtek HD AUdio Driver = Crash in between 5-20 minutes of game play, happen randomly.
Tweak setting in Speaker configuration in Windows 7:
1) Right click Speaker icon in system tray.
2) Select Playback Devices
3) Right click Speaker icon (Default Device)
4) Advanced Tab
5) Uncheck all option in Exclusive Mode
6) Save setting
Update PunkBuster to the latest.
Until now, played a server with Operation Metro map rotation with 1000 tickets, and also another server, total game play consumed 2 hour plus, no crash at all.
The issue sounds like the driver or software setting related to Realtek HD Audio manager, there is nothing to do with SLI. SLI is working perfectly with Battlefield 3 without any major issue.
