ok. 1st time cleaning my waterblock almost 1 years. just use suling + killkoils. drain water using white color base bowl can see color like light blueish. Open the block, few black spot and oxidation around the o-ring.
Ketchup or vinegar will do the cleaning right on the block using toothbrush? |

QUOTE(pennykia @ Mar 15 2012, 04:34 PM) no matter how is also no useless, standard fitting all using G1/4 thread. the outlet size will be the same. as penny said. no matter how big is the fitting/tube inert, the flow will just bottleneck by the G1/4 thread. therefore you wont see much different performance between 1/2" 3/4" versus 1/2" 5/8" size. |

QUOTE(marsha1l @ Mar 18 2012, 05:16 PM) hardly running it on stock..most of the time 4.6ghz@1.35 sometime 5ghz when render video bro. actually why you want to change pump now? if you temperature still ok you dont need to get better pump now. why dont you wait for your future plan since you saying wanna add 1x gtx580 then you that time you might opt. for dual pump and dual reservoir. dual d5 or mcp35x2 is depend on your casing got place anot. after quick review on the pump..will be upgrading my pump to D5 in couple of month..since i would like to see first do i really need to change it or not.. thx |

QUOTE(louis91 @ Mar 19 2012, 01:28 PM) question, if i plan to setup res > pump > gpu > cpu > rad > pump with this koolance top and the bitspower z multi tube res on top of the inlet (so now the pump and res becomes one unit). Do i complete the loop by connect the tube from rad to the hole beside the outlet? sorry for noob question but first time using a pump and res separately. do it like this: res outlet> pump inlet> pump outlet to cpu block inlet > cpu outlet to gpu inlet> gpu outlet to rad inlet > rad outlet back to res inlet. or like below also can depend on you tubing route res > pump > rad > cpu> gpu> res hope this enough clear to you This post has been edited by KIntos: Mar 19 2012, 01:53 PM |

QUOTE(louis91 @ Mar 19 2012, 02:22 PM) problem is im using a HAF X case and theres no place to put my rad at the bottom. i plan to put the res on vertical slot beside the pcie slots and pump on the psu cover. but i still don't see how this works out. any suggestions? im stuck here. if you loop gpu 1st mean your cpu will get hotter temperature may this will work res out > pump in to gpu in > gpu out to cpu in > cpu out to rad in > rad out to res in This post has been edited by KIntos: Mar 19 2012, 02:34 PM |

QUOTE(louis91 @ Mar 19 2012, 03:16 PM) hmm would it impact much? i googled but mostly are using dual loops with some mods. i guess that's my temporary solution until i find out more. but if anyone figured some else out that would be much appreciated. you better check properly. as for those using dual loop usually dual pump with dual rad. 1 rad for cpu and 1 rad for gpu.your gpu can withstand temperature better than your cpu. do you think cpu run hotter than gpu? |

QUOTE(louis91 @ Mar 19 2012, 03:54 PM) thanks for the heads up. ok based on the picture it setup like belowthis is the closest build i could find, i just need to find a way to somehow fix the pump there. also if im going with this, how do i fill the water? res>pump> gpu> rad > cpu > res. fill water from the top reservoir. probably fill before mount the pump on the casing i guess. QUOTE(louis91 @ Mar 19 2012, 04:11 PM) i'll swap the both so its res > pump > cpu > rad > gpu > pump using two 90 degrees compression fittings. Does that work? i cant said use both 90 deg compression but its all depend how your tubing route and whether its kink anot. picture use 1x 45 deg and 1x 90 deg.gotcha, thanks! |
