bad news
my lil bro play bf3 on max setting i left one of the barb (gpu loop) on the bay res un-clamped. the rad didnt get enough cool air since the case's bottom and the table too close ,less than 1cm gap. the coolant heat up till all the fittings became hot(really hot) and the tube which left un-clamped expand due to excessive heat and leaked. all 4 hdds ( 4tb ) were soaked with the coolant. what a terrible way of killing the hdds. *my lil bro palying game in dark and using headphone. i think my 'wife' lost lot of blood. |

Sorry for your misfortune. Compression fittings all the way. All the money saved from using barbs would now cost significantly more (4 x 1tb = RM1500 almost)

That's true, it was sort of "lucky" that it leaked from the bay. Better get it fixed ASAP.

Your idle temperature is quite high. Are you in an AC room? What tubings are you using?

Yeah if you use 1/2" barb with smaller ID tubing similar to MDPC then it is harder for it to soften up and come off. BUT
1. Plugging the tubing is a pain 2. Getting the tubing in with the perfect tension/bend is a pain 3. Removing the tubing/fitting is impossible without cutting it off and splitting the tubing in half. Compression is preferred |
