most air purifier with carbon filter can do the job already so you don't need to break the bank looking for one. however, an air purifier with odor light indicator will be helpful.

on similar topic,
also try getting two to three snake plant about 5 inches tall each will work wonders too, works well with air purifier.

this is also a good way to circulate the air inside the house, remove stagnant air and possible chance to get black mold inside the house.

but as we all know, we live in malaysia which is prone to half year dry season and during that time, haze will make a comeback and grey the hills on the horizon, which you won't want to open your windows. while air purifier is good at removing bad particles, certain plants will generate oxygen for inside the house.

the one downside about plants is you have to regularly clean the leaves as dust will gather on its leaves, its like a dust filter.

NASA label certain plants as excellent air purifier, Spider Plant, Snake Plant, and Money Plant as three "hard to kill" greens.

put them together with air purifier 👍👍👍

Xiaomi air purifier should handle the job well. I am using one for each room. Bought it online.

Hi, since you owned both HAP40 and HAP30, whats the performance differences instead of the additional humidifier feature on HAP40?

Does HAP30 sucks dust effectively as well as HAP40? What is the dust reduction after use them for couple of month?

I'm planning to get one as well. Thanks  thumbup.gif

30m² vs 40m² filter capacity = faster to filter the air, and Alomized Humidification with Mist Volume feature

no, both (or most air purifier?!) won't suck/reduce dust

get one n try since the price much cheaper especially the replacement filter compare to other big players (3 years warranty too) if the main purpose on sensitive nose, else dust reduction can forget about it.

what makes you choose this over sharp model around the same price?

My room 19x16 feet. Around 29 square metres
Should I get hap30? I think will not be using humidifier function.

But Hap40 cadr is higher. Will be better in pulling the air.

Hi all, can you please suggest affordable air purifier budget ~RM500? Preferably those that not require heavy maintenance as I’ll be getting this for my parents. Main purpose is to eliminate pets odor in room (yes my parents have 1 room dedicated for their pets 😔). Does khind hap40 you guys talking about meets my purpose or any other brand/model I should look into?

Thanks for the reply! Mi air looks good, just that it has all the extra features that I don’t need like wifi. My parents are not that tech savvy to take advantage of the extra features so I think a basic unit can save me a few more bucks for other stuff like filter replacement 😄

Some more things I want to add, the purifier I’m looking for will be turn on 24/7 and hopefully is cheap to replace the filter. Electric consumption is also a factor since it will be turn on all day. No need humidifier, just a basic odor removal is good enough.
