You can rotate your home screen but not the lock screen.

You can use your Note even without update your firmware first. For stock rom phone you can update by FOTA
setting > about phone > software updates

You can auto rotate your homescreen by enable your auto rotate button on the notification taskbar.
3 icons - screenshots app..lookout antivirus...stock battery saver

Oppss..sorry my bad. It only rotated when i'm on launcher. Stock TW launcher seems cannot rotate the homescreen. Too bad :-(

It's good that you pick Sandisk instead of Kingmax. My 16GB Kingmax Class 10 just went kaput after one year of using it :-( Lucky for the lifetime warranty so gonna claim a new one this Monday. My 16GB Sandisk Class 4 still kicking alive even after three years of using.

Your phone is only a week old and yet you start worried about the battery already. Let your battery to stabilize first for a few more weeks. If the time usage is so important to you then it's better if you buy another spare battery.

Music and videos won't take a lot of time for the initial scanning but tons of images will.

You havr to edit and repackage it. Example - one 8GB movie.. repack it into two 4GB each.

1) V3 means this thread in on Version 3
2) SEP means Samsung Elite Partner where you can buy Samsung phone and get 2 years warranty
3) NFC means Near Field Communication. Sort of bluetooth but works in much much shorter range (nearly touching).
4) That's what Samsung said but they can easily pospone the white Note if they have to.
5) Depend on which one you prefer. Contract or non-contract. But both will give you only one year warranty since telcos are not SEP.

SGSII was release with GB right from the box.
Samsung said Note will get ICS on Q1 but most probably it will be release on Q2 (middle next year)

Dont worry..still can see what's on the screen.
Good news - no fingers print / no micro scratch when using S Pen.
Bad news - screen quite blur

As for custom roms..it's better for you to try it yourself as different user always get different result. Whatever good for other can be bad for you and vice versa. Different apps with different setting make the roms result varies for each user.

You won't get accurate battery reading after only one day changing rom. It take times to get accurate reading.
