QUOTE(JET @ Nov 21 2011, 03:40 PM) Dear All, hi, syedakmal, please arrange for the info gathered by JET to incorporated into first post. Or just add the attachment at the first post at the moment before you sort the info out. many thanks. I've been reading through all the comments, sharing and information that posted from "Samsung Galaxy Note" v2 (from page 40) till v3 (till page 50) And I kept lots of information regarding Android OS, Samsung Galaxy Note, etc etc (papago, root, case, screen protector,.....) into the words file for my own reference. attaching the file here as for those who 1st reading this forum. It's good information to go through rather than asking the same question again. (sorry... it's messy... no time to properly organize it) cheers This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 23 2011, 09:59 PM Attached File(s)

QUOTE(silencer @ Nov 24 2011, 03:52 AM) We r in the same boat. Same thing happened to my sp. Sometimes, i do wonder if thrre is a big diff between the exp n cheapest sp in the market? i dun think there is much difference if no stylus is used. My previous cheapo SP on my Desire and Desire HD still in pristine condition until today. But the SP for my previous Palm device definitely got a lot of micro and mini scratches all over the screen after long term use of stylus. And just tested the multi-pen stylus for my Palm device on the Note - NO, the stylus tip does not work on Note. Will test out this RM9 SP intensively with S Pen in the coming days/weeks to see whether it can withstand the prolong use of stylus. @KKW: I think I will just cut off the corner that is being bent. QUOTE(RaplaJingga @ Nov 24 2011, 09:23 AM) for user who have strange batt issue can try download setcpu and add profile on it. im set screen off to maximum 200mhz and give me good batt. when temperature high also i underclock it to 1000mhz instead of 1400mhz. its help a lot.Get rid of dolphin HD because i find the usage is very high compare to stock browser. now trying maxthon browser. Xscope browser recommended by uncle Benny is fast too. Using it as default at the moment. QUOTE(KKW @ Nov 24 2011, 09:57 AM) For my case, it's bent near the front speaker when I took out from the case how you gonna DIY? Actually i also thinking of DIY a simple leather pouch just to cover the Note fixed with a simple back casing but i dun think i have the equipment (sewing machine) and skill. Anyway, I planning to change casing as well.. Or maybe I DIY my case BTW, now withe the SP on, finally can do some serious S Pen actions. This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 24 2011, 10:16 AM |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Nov 24 2011, 11:51 AM) actually... if i remember correctly, the stats shown there is all relative. if your phone is not doing anything... chances are, your Android OS would end up with usage of 80%. but what is 80% if battery consumed is only 5%? yes, true, i am wondering why some of you concern so much about the percentage and the various processes? It is only useful when your battery drain is abnormally high - then you need to check the stat to see who is the culprit. If your battery is normal and ok why bother to check this. Go play some games or do some fantastic staff on your new shiny Note than keep tracking the battery stats. if you use more applications, etc... very sure the % will then even out properly. dun think too much about stats using the method you highlighted. any sifu can better explain it...? @blunderboy: you can try not using your Note for a day or 2, just turn on the screen occasionally - then you will notice your display will be using 80% of your battery, and you will suspect your screen got problem? |

QUOTE(ben3232 @ Nov 24 2011, 06:46 PM) any1 got wifi signal low problem.......or is samsung problem like sgs 2 oso have this problem.......my modem in room when i go out my room , my note wifi from 3bar go to 1bar .....if go back my room then back to full 3bar.... are you using wifi-N router? Using a N-router instead of G-router might improve the signal. My house is using WiFi-G only. QUOTE(stringfellow @ Nov 24 2011, 06:21 PM) What about restoring apps? My last count on the number of apps and services I've backed up on TitaniumBackup is close to 300 elements, not to mention ebooks, PDFs, emails, SMSes, work files, and app save datas. To restore those will take time. If you leave your Note barebones with no apps, of course la flash/restore takes 5-10 minutes. Those who have finally decided to USE their devices instead of going flash-crazy, will have a hard and long time restoring their apps and files back in working order. Do you have nothing much installed on your Note? haha... i agree with you on this too. At first it seems fun to keep flashing rom but after a while when I have more apps and data in the phone, i feel very reluctant to flash a new rom and setup my homescreen and everything all over again - it will take me at least half a day to setup everything to where they should belong or behave. At the end, for my previous Desire and Desire HD, I stop flashing totally unless there is a huge changes/improvement in the custom rom. Bottom line is, a line has to be drawn somewhere. I always like improved performance, but when custom ROMs appearing like mushroom after a rainy day, when do you stop flashing and start USING your Note? And one more thing about custom ROM - although they bring improvement to the stock rom but they will also brings bugs, some might be just minor. The more extra features the custom rom has, the more bugs it will brings. Thus the ever updates of the custom rom coz they are constantly fixing some bugs and in the same time make some. So for the Note, I dun think I will flash a custom rom as long as the stock rom is stable. BUT i do find out that my keyboard will Force Close some time if i type too fast. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Nov 24 2011, 09:18 PM) If you're thinking of getting a spare cable, any microUSB cable works. Look for USB to microUSB cable in LYP. I'm looking for one tomorrow so that I can place my Note in a separate stand, so I'm gonna need a long one. I will be getting 8-10 pieces microUSB cables, 3-4 in-car phone holder and hopefully can get a fitting pouch for my Note this Saturday at handphone accessories wholesale store. |

TQ your set is not sealed? Actually there is a small piece of paper inside the package that tell us not to accept the package is-f the seal is already broken when we receive it or must check thorough the included items if the seal is broken. But since most of us are buying it the first time, we won't know what is included, so best to get a sealed set for peace of mind.Attach a picture for your reference - nice smooth glossy plastic at both end. Picture taken with Note. ![]() |

QUOTE(dchk @ Nov 25 2011, 02:31 PM) Reading this thread for a while. But don't see that many options in the market for case. Not interested in the TPU or silicon type that cover the SGN. Something like a wallet type would be nice. i customised one with Easecase for my Desire HD, too bulky. If customise one for Note, it will be way too bulky - definitely will looks exactly like a lady long purse. So not so suitable for a guy.Was thinking since the SGN is so big, instead of bring wallet out, a combo case with wallet (with extra card holder) would be nice. |
