more, something around 700-800W would be nice, i usually look for 50% more rms...

How about 100% or more power?
If the sub is rated 300W RMS, 1200W max. Amp supply 700W RMS, 1000W max. Will this kill the sub? Was wondering hmm.gif

I think power is more about control, and won't lack when you need it.

For a 700rms amp, why don't you just get something around 500~600rms sub?  biggrin.gif

Of course, it won't kill the sub unless you force it.

I'm curious on what would happen if I done that lol. Force it? How?

Force it means pushing it too hard until above the rated power. Ever heard of a sub blowing? laugh.gif
