QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Oct 23 2005, 04:07 PM) 2GB/month transfer limit.... heavy torrent STAY AWAY! refer here : http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,14634354All of the 3 packages has 2GB limit? At least it will be good if at least RM99 package has unlimited transfer. But it says QUOTE The broadband you can trust.
Always-on, Unlimited usage, Wired or Wireless.

prasys: how about stability of Jaring DSL services? I find TMNET streamyx too unreliable, with unstable pings, constant downtimes, frequent disconnection.
I want dsl to be stable, something that eludes Streamyx. If you see in online games, you only see Malaysian players got lagged out or disconnected. this is how unstable streamyx is.
so, is jaring better in terms of stability?

If they blocked BT but the DSL is stable , then I will switch to Jaring because I seldom use BT.

The customer service rep. told me it's unlimited data transfer, and the only difference between Basic and Standard is the extra 2 MY015 lines. I even asked him to confirm it with his coleague and he did that too.

The 2GB limit is old news - I don't think it applies anymore (as Hikaru has said).

wahah..call them up again..they said...it is unlimited..
the2 gh limit is for my reach , this one is new...flite..but the operator also said..that they are also confuse about this..since it is not yet launch...but flite is unlimited
i try to call them up again in few days..see wehetehr they change statement again..
i dont think will block BT, reason they block bt on wireless is they cant support..so many connection perbase station..but on wired there no such limit....

QUOTE(hanky93 @ Oct 23 2005, 12:29 PM) FYI, the DSLAM is own by TM. Jaring 'leased' out the DSLAM. What TM do is to route the traffic from their DSLAM to Jaring's IP infra. why would TM lease out their DSLAMs? Why would TM route Jaring's traffic at their own cost? and since when TM do IP traffic? actually if Jaring ADSL service having been realized stems from the fact that TM is willing to lease out their fiber/copper last mile to other ISPs. fiber/copper infra is owned by the telco, TM not the ISP, TMnet. TMnet is just another customer to TM's fiber infra, just like Jaring in this case. They rent (at a lower cost) these infras from their parent company, TM. Just like TMnet can lease Time's infra if they feel like it. This post has been edited by ihsan: Oct 23 2005, 06:21 PM

They are not blocking the ports , what they will do is to use traffic shapping like p-cube for example and you are history... this is not some kiddy port blocking technique..

yep they use p-cube , we're not sure..they might enable it at first , then if its overlaoded , then they will block p2p..just like jaring wireless , so the network will be good , less lag (since BT takes a lot of traffic)..they don't want to have any complains about their speed !
