dono, i think it is normal disc reading sound, but abit loud. the sound is like when u install a new game on pc and u can hear the disc sounds like spinning fast inside the dvd player. im playing ps3 for first time, i dono this is normal or not, when i eject the disc after an hour of play, the disc had not scrached, just feel unsafe whether my ps3 is ok or not.

or is that of the hardisc noise? hemm

Imo, my new slim ps3 has louder sound when playing bd disc compared to my old phat ps3. Cost cutting perhaps?

If you plan to buy lot of psn games, better take bigger hdd. Games like Assasin Creed are about 7gb each.

yeap, suggest u to get 320gb, since price difference is not that much, and i suggest u to buy from malaysia sony store, now got extra 3months warranty offer if u register online in addition to the 1 year basic warranty, so u get 15months warranty in total. if u buy sg set also can, just that if smth happens to yr ps3 u ned to set back to sg store to claim warranty.

my advice always go for higher specs .. so go for 320gb
