Another marketing gimmick to get people on spending. Guess they have been feeling a lot of heat lately from the increase of othe coffee brands and taiwanese bubble tea shops.

yes, yes, drink more Starbucks, me thinks their business has been hit somewhat with all the bubble tea like Chatime, GongCha, Webuys and other coffee brands like PCC, Austin Chase etc coming up around...

Hmmm...went Starbucks for promo time yesterday and the machine 2 use payment via Starbucks was down. However, to get the drinks rewards, it was still available and u can swipe the card.

I wonder if this is a frequent thing or a tactic for u to use more during non-promo hours as they had a nice sign stating the payment via the Starbucks card is not available. Any1 experience this b4?

Really pissed with SB lately, tried to top up over the weekend with MBB2 card at new branch in Paradigm Mall but couldn't as the terminal they have does not accept Amex at the moment. shocking.gif shakehead.gif doh.gif
In the end, had to use the other rebate credit card - Titanium. I'm wondering if the terminal gives 5% as well. rclxub.gif mad.gif vmad.gif cry.gif

Oh well, Buy 1 Free 1 for now @ Pacific Coffee Company til 16th June in Paradigm Mall anyway.

I'm not sure, think I did not see that sign at the counter. I doubt u will have 30% over the buy 1 free 1 discount anyway.

I'm getting an increase in blood pressure everytime I ask the barristas to deduct a nominal amount from the card, they will still deduct all balance in the card despite clear instructions.

Ronnie: Any tips on how to get them to listen???

I agree with this as well, they just dun train them like they used to anymore. They are cheerful n all and don't show black face to you but
they're kinda blur as to what to do when being asked to do something out of the ordinary.

Did any of you receive any vouchers from Zalora and Lazada when buying your Frappucino ? Saw the promo poster at Starbucks @ Borders The Gardens.
*
Yes, I got mine from other branches. It's a 2 in 1 voucher printed on both sides.

Do let us know your success story in the argument with Starbucks Barista on this issue.

If that's the case, can get even more than 30 slices of cake and have them for breakfast, lunch & dinner at different branches.

I found another VALUE-FOR-MONEY method to utilise the Starbucks Card RM50

T&C: Free Grande Drink when buying your Starbucks Tumbler still applies

Step 1
Buy a Starbucks Card at RM50.00 (with your cash-back CC)

Step 2
Activate your Starbucks Card by registering online @ http://card.sbux.com.my

Step 3
Enjoy your Free Grande-size handcrafted beverage, upon card activation

Step 4
Buy a Starbucks Tumbler (16oz) for RM48 using your Starbucks Card
Enjoy your Free Grande-size handcrafted beverage, upon your tumbler purchase
Balance left: RM2

Step 5
Buy a Tall-size drink with the balance RM2.00 (+ own topup cash-back CC)
Free slice of cake Reward will be activated.
Enjoy 1 Free slice of cake

Final Outcome : With RM50, you get 1 Starbucks Tumbler + 2 Free Drinks + 1 Cake Slice

If you split the RM50 into RM20 + RM20 + RM20 (3 separate cards) you could get extra free drinks smile.gif

I went to the Kota Raya KL branch today and the staff there gave me only 1 free drink when I ordered 4 drinks. Isn't this suppose to be Buy 1 Free 1 no matter how many drinks u buy? I do not see anything like this in their T&C.

Any1 else encountered this?

Frappuccino need to be blended for a wee bit longer....
*
Agreed. I will specifically ask them to do this as many branches I went nowadays have the same problems of having rough ice at the bottom.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 26 2012, 01:43 PM)
Confirm you got cheated la, yesterday in front of me they order 2 drinks (paid for 2) and got 4 (2 free).
*
Not cheated in the end. I asked them to reverse the transaction and separate it as two bills after that as I was having more than 1 card.
And the reversal was actually done by the manager and charged again by the staff. I think Starbucks service has really gone down the drain totally as
the manager seems to not to care at all as well.

My friend at another branch was told that ice blended fraps are not eligible for the promotion. Now he was really cheated.

I also notice that onec you purchase a Starbucks Tumbler with your Starbucks Card, you get a tracker stamp for free drink
*
Yes, this one is true, and now u can get RM2 discount with your Starbucks Tumbler. And that's why people don't mind spending hard earned money on increased prices of tumblers and drinks from Starbucks. LOL.

I have got a receipt that say if I complete a survey, I can get a free tall size beverage but the system say the code I type in is wrong.I hv try a few time but it doesnt work. I have email starbucks and even left a msg to starbucks facebook but its already 5day and till now no reply from starbucks. The receipt mention that the survey only last for 14 days. em.. what should I do?
*
You can try to call their customer service, I got this as well and everything went smoothly and got the free drink in Genting where the drinks are even pricier. Talk about good timing.
