that is just the best way to utilize your starbucks card.

1, you need rm20 to buy the card right? with preloaded rm20 in it.

2, there's a benefit that if you buy 10 crafted beverages, the system will issue a free drinks after 10 drinks swiped, which means your 11th starbucks drinks is free.

3, so by using RM2 per transaction, you get to finish off your credit in the card and also getting the 11th drinks for free.

this method teaches you how to enjoy your starbucks benefit to the max (since you get a free drinks upon card registration and free cake on your birthday month). so by having 12 cards and register each on diff months, you get to have 1 slice of cake for free every month from starbucks. also, this is a very good method for starbucks card collector.

but for me, i dont use the method since i dont visit starbucks very often. maybe this flaw which starbucks purposely made is to pull more starbucks fanatic (if you are) to spend more at starbucks.

lol... so basically buy the card and use it 200 times each time 0.01 and pay the rest using cash/credit.

my concern is if i add the mini card into my existing acc will i entitle for one free drink as well?

Please add the mini card to your existing account and tell us if you do get the activation free drink

but we as customers also sometimes abuse the systemlah. 

in this case no abuse, they allow it to happen.

starbucks card also gives you 10% cash rebate. Plus on top of that, MBB 2 card gives you 7.5% rebate if u reload it on weekend.

No. let say u bought same drinks RM10 for ten times, then u will get one free drink. Let say u redeem rm10 free drink, it's 10% rebate. It could be more or less than 10% depends on the drink you purchased and the free drinks u want to redeem

let say u buy drink rm8 for 10 times, that rm80. If u redeem a free grande size fraps that cost around rm15. That is around 18% rebate, i dont know how did u get that 200% ? 

agreed..with this SB card, I visited starbucks more frequent, not to mention they open new one near office.

Used to visit coffeebean once a week using citibank card for 20%. I guess now SB give better rebates since with OCBC card can get 5% when reload.

Any drinks made with their Starbucks barista's hands is considered handcrafted drinks.

went to the curve today to purchase rm120 for mini card and charm, utilizing ocbc titanium card for 20% + 5% rebate 

however, abit disappointed, wanna get that rm120 and reload that amount to my normal card, but barista said cannot, must reload to minicard..wtf?

then dun care la..since like that... "they" force me to find "leeway", register the minicard under new account la...get mini drinks...

never think of doing that, they sorta force me

want to ask, do we need to purchase anything before we apply the bcard? i see chatime and starbucks also got the application form collection box, dunno whether need attached receipt before apply or not...
