I have an existing SBux card but the balance is RM2.40. Then recently i got a RM10 SBux Card. This card not yet register. So if i

1. Register my account with birthday month September but actually is December
2. Registration will get 1 free Grande drink
3. Use the RM10 to purchase a drink
4. Get the Birthday reward
5. When redeeming the birthday, do they check my IC for verification

Birthday - When a beverage is purchased during the birthday month, the system automatically issues a complimentary slice of cake which is displayed in the Rewards column
P/S. My existing RM2.40 card birthday month was registered to be December. My last transaction on that card was 21-12-12 with the amount of RM23.25. However under the reward table, i couldnt see the Birthday Reward. *Now only i realized there is a Birthday Rewards. That time dunno ma*.

So logically it will show there and also show it is expired, isnt it? Even if i didnt redeem it

Mine was lapsed coz i thought it will be "available" for 3 months after i made purchase on my birthday month.

But, the barista said cannot redeem free drink if top up starbuck card with RM30. must make purchase RM30 then only entitled for free drink.

Cos i even make a complaint and their supervisor attend to me and confirm cannot redeem the free drink if top up RM30 to starbucks card with RHBS CC.

My birthday was yesterday, 24-9-2013. Until when I can get or redeem the birthday cake reward?

Can i just redeem the cake in next visit without buying drink by 30/9?

Yes. To clarify further with an example, let's say I'm a new customer and I get a new Starbucks card with RM50 credit.

Once I register the card online, I automatically get a free drink. Next I use it to purchase a RM33 Wau tumbler, I get a second drink for free.

So in total, you'll end with 2 free drinks (normally costs RM20-30), a nice tumbler and RM17 of credit in your card remaining, enough to buy one more drink. Remember to use your tumbler to get a further RM2 discount.

Free drink after card registration is only valid for only once I think. If you get a 2nd Starbucks card under your own name, no free drink after registration.
