Got so much worry use gas lo. Even solar you risk lightning.

What kind of lightning risk for solar heaters? You mean risk of lightning hitting the solar panel?

well it probably wont have centralized piping
but most likely you have copper piping that is localized for each bathroom and they only go to the shower and long bath if you have one
Nowadays new houses don't use copper piping anymore for cold water supply. I think in Klang Valley now the standard pipe is ABS type.

I also agree that in the case of link houses it's unlikely that the developer will supply hot water piping (unless they include a solar hot water system). The usual is just to provide a water heater point and the normal cold water pipe to the shower.

Good one.. i think 1 time bath less than 30-40L.
Unless use bathtub.

a standard showerhead uses about 15 to 25 litres of water per minute - a three star rated water efficient showerhead uses as little as 6 or 7 litres per minute.

a standard showerhead uses at least 120 litres of water per eight-minute shower whereas a water efficient model uses less than 72 litres or 40 per cent less water

To be considered water efficient the max output is limited to 9 litres/min. Of course if super efficient can be lower to 6-7 litres/min. However, personally I think the showering feel of these efficient showerheads will be less nice.

There are traders starting importing from China. Cheap cheap like RM2k for 60 gallon vacuum tube.

China export solar heater to USA. Quality ***** 5 stars. Volume(Whole) sale at RM1K for a reasonably good unit.

The main solar unit itself is reasonable.

It's the piping (incl hacking of walls, repair after hacking and relaying the tiles) which adds to the expense. Can be a few thousand RM for 3 bathrooms. Not to mention the inconvenience.

I got hack 3 bathroom. Just can't afford solar unit price only.

So you are using tank type?

For solar heater, the returns will come in the long term through reduction in electricity cost.
