brought new panasonic DH-3RP1MK water heater recently and having problem with the pump, as the pump keep operating non stop even there is no water flow. reply from their technician is that this model and other similar model which below rm600 are a failure design, whereby model above rm600 are improved from this failure design. i hope ppl who reading this comment can browse yotube as there are many pl post video on the youtube. pls dont waste money on panasonic water heater unless u buy above rm600.

any recommendations for water heater with DC pump priced around rm450-600? I wanted the panasonic DH-3NDP1 earlier but comments in this thread mostly give bad reviews.

Prefer a slim and stylish metallic color.

Using the dh-3ndp1 for weeks now, so far so good just there's little noise when pump running and no control on pump power.
Compare with my sis alpha smart revo her heater definitely better, but you pay for the price.

no control on pump power means that the water pressure is too strong and cant be adjusted lower? actually my condo i feel the water pressure is good, just feel wasted if i get a normal heater and turns out it cant work.

smart revo almost rm1k sad.gif
thanks, this is around rm450 right?
*
Means can't turn off pump if you have good incoming water pressure or can't adjust the pump if you have lower pressure since it's fixed one.
If you live in condo you may just get a heater without pump.

Yeah, usually condo won't have water pressure problem, unless for those very old type condo/apartment.

4.8kW one cannot use with typical default 2.5mm² cable (redline 21A) . Really running redline of the cable because rated load current already 20.87A .and that 21A redline is based on quality cables. Running at redline for prolonged period is dangerous.

If you want to use this model you need to make sure whole wiring setup is 4mm² good quality cable all the way from DB box to the water heater (stuff from mega kabel, caramay, tonn, fajar cable) which typically won't be installed by developer.. you need at least 4mm² cables which have higher redline of 32A.
*
If the developer is SD, you will have 4mm² cables from DB to each water heater points wink.gif

Hi all, would just like to check if anyone have encountered this issue before. I have Panasonic DH-3NP2MS water heater installed in my new home. Yesterday when I troed to use the water heater, the water came out intermittently and gradually decreases until there is no water, and the pump sounds extremely noisy.

I have checked for leaks in my piping, but couldnt find any. Appreciate if anyone can assist in troubleshooting the issue.
*
Is this your first time use the water heater? Anyway it could be reasons below:
1. Dirt blocking the incoming water (as mentioned by others)
2. Air exist inside water piping
3. Incorrect installation on water inlet & outlet (rarely but possible, my dad tried it laugh.gif)

Hi, I just bought the Panasonic 3MP1 and would like to understand more on the pump operation. When I turn on the switch, but my water is not running, will the pump still be running?

My incoming pressure is actually very strong, so will this damage my inlet pipe due to build up pressure when I turn on the switch but not using the water?
*
1. Pump will run shortly at first and then stop if no water supply.
2. Don't think so, how much is the incoming pressure?

the pressure is strong before i install the heater. Then the installation of the heater uses a 1.5cm diameter metal rod for the water inlet and outlet, which I think makes the pressure to be greater. Adding with the pump function, my outlet connection is leaking with water even when i adjust the inlet at the WH to the smallest.

The leaking may due to poor connection, try check and connect again, use teflon tape if need.
