i just noticed my new house's height is 9 foot 6 inci, will that be too short for plaster ceiling?

For mine, height from the bottom of the ceiling beam was only about 8.5ft.

Certain areas is designed so i get the full height of my ceiling but others are camouflaged by designing of lightboxes so the ceiling doesn't look too low and flat.

looks like 9.5ft height is quite common.
I guess the main problem with my living room is 10ft wide,
so 9.5ft still looks small. and the paint is in red on wall and white at ceiling, it seems narrow the space.
i guess i will extend my house to fit the 21/22 ft and park the car side by side instead of front/back.
