QUOTE(mnpl @ Aug 25 2010, 03:55 PM)
So let`s say I don't sign the the new offer letter with the revised salary.  I am forced to resign or they have to fire me?
and may I know how long is the notification period? they informed me on end of last week and wants me to give a decision by this month.

You have to check back your initial letter of appointment. What does it say? Usually there is a clause for either you or the employer to terminate the contract/employment based on X month of notice provided. Usually range from 1-3 months. Some maybe 2 weeks or lesser.

If its in the agreement or letter of appointment. Even if you do not sign the lower wages, they will eventually issue notice of termination with the stipulated time given.
