Haiz.. Too bad.. I found this thread too late.
My first job was under APPCO/Cobra Group which called TG Pacific Sdn Bhd. I was there for 1 week. Exactly the same situation as mentioned since the beginning posts until now. Training is to brain-wash the people there. No offer letter. No basic. No EPF/Socso. That's why I lefted. Somemore need to wear formal and go ulu ulu place to 'beg' people to sign-in as a donor. After I Left, I heard my friends told me, saw these group of people walking all the way along the street in front of the office (Wisma Goldhill, Jalan Raja Chulan) as targeting people who was walked-by. Pity those uncle and aunties who were in the group, need to walked under the hot sun and stopping people to listen to their speeches. I'm totally felt embrassing throughout the whole process where I need to go around and keep eye-targeting on people to ask them to join as a donor. Somemore go to so ulu ulu place to "HUNT" for people. I didnt get my pay as well. Not even the offer letter I requested.
Marcus Evans: I don't think is a scam company and not all the people there are bad as well lah. Unfortunately, almost all of them are the same only. Kekeke... I was under an old lady called Ms. Cheong (Normally people called her Yen). This one is really a b**** but she keep calling others b****es. She also told us about SELF-DEVELOPMENT which I never found in her. Keep told us about profesionalism which also never sense from her. She only keep spying what are you doing and then keep listening what are you talking even you are talking with your own mobile phone during lunch time. Her daily responsibilities is only checking her email and keep replying to those email (don't even know from who) then keep open-up the files/documents in her desktop then keep rolling up and down then close then open again then roll up and down again. From morning until late at night. She is really good in pretending -- pretend to be busy, pretend to be professional, pretend to be hardworking. Somemore, she only did her works mostly during the lunch hour/after office hours. Also has attitude problems. Haiz.. Ohya, another problem was I'm applied for marketing executive that time but don't why wil went under her. No doubt that, some of the position they posted in jobstreet are sound pretty professional but ended up everyone is doing the same thing in the sales floor. I heard managers in this company also very unpleasant, not tolerance etc. In conclusions, most of them are the same but there are some really good leader as well but too few of them. They will retrench people when these group of people can't perform well even you are in the manager level. SO, better think not only twice if you are seeking for sales position. The story is very long, but this is basically the environment when you are entering this company.
By the way, I did went to the interview under [size=7]Maple Gateway in Megan Avenue II. I was so shocked, my interview was at 11am but the interviewer are not even there at 1130am. Somemore, only negro/African worked in the office besides two chinese managers (1 female 1 male). Somemore the location is kinda mess to me. I looked very interested in learning and quietly listened to everything she told me. She even gave me her name card and I said I will contact her back but I never because all the employees were just sitting in a row with laptop. Something like kindergarden style. Another suspicious thing is, they even wants you to fill-in your family background, their contact numbers and job title. As mentioned in the previous posts under this thread, they may ask your family members to invest. I met the malays cleaning 'kakak' who worked there, I did tried to find a chance to talk to her and ask a bit about the people. She only whispering to me and she did told me a lady actually keep coming back to ask for her salary.. Too bad.. I didn't manage to get more information.
Another company is Recruit Express. The lady called ILyia was actually sent my resume to a company WITHOUT my permission. I actually told her let me think first because I want to find out whether the location is it convenience to me and I will call her if I'm interested. But I didnt called her up because is not a desired location to me. A few days later I got a call from her and she said I have an interview with the company. Walao eh, really scared me. How to trust a company like this. Another position is actually as a Recruiter for them. But after the interview, I never pick up their phone because the working hour is from 830am-530pm but they will have meeting everyday at 6pm. Somemore the lady told me they need to stay until 8pm-9pm almost everyday. Got a lady interviewed me only there for about 3 months but acted so lan si.
I'm really 'LUCKY' because kena most of the companies. May be can go try try buy lottery. Hahaha.. Just becareful when looking for jobs nowadays, especially fresh graduates. Listen to the advices posted here because majority felt the same so i guess nothing will be wrong. Luckily I saw this website, it is not too late to tell others friends and family members and stay alert for these type of companies.
