i believe this company called Ideal Approach in PJ, near PJ Hilton is a company of DS Max.



1st, they advertise for management trainee n no company name. onli by the advertiser.



2nd, they claimed to be a company supporting all the big client, eg. canon, disney, nokia etc but they r in a a shophouse office.



3nd, this is because i hv been the "lucky" ones to get called up for 1st interview. becoz of a lot of candidatites, during my session there is around 12-15 ppl, i onli got a short interview, just asking my personality, blah blah and if i m good enuf then they will call me for 2nd interview in this 1 or 2 days.



onli 2 HOURS after my 1st interview, attention dat i say onli 2 HOURS after my interview, they call me n say i m selected for 2nd interview which is a full day interview. happy n ignorant, i agree for the 2nd interview.



the day i m there, i m required to do some IQ test. just to show they r some big shot company maybe. then i m introduce to a supervisor by the manager to take on a "observation" on how they operate. once there, in phileo damansara, we go around offices trying to "TEST market" a product. i wouldnt say wat product here. but it claim it is for Popular bookstore. (test market is to survey a product to a target group to see if the product will be accepted by public).



but from i see, it looks nothing different from direct sales. they say the original price is rm50 but now for limited time n stock they sell rm20. nice packaging but i dun c any Popular Bookstore logo on the product.



i hv 2 supervisors n they seems to be nice n trying hard to convince me dat this is not a direct selling job and they onli test market. its ok if they dun buy. but here wer i goes thinking again....



test market = survey and c if ppl r interested. intro ourself as our company and say we r to test market. doesnt need them to buy.



but wat my supervisors do is = ask ppl to buy. if they dun wan then its ok. (fine enuf for me). but then....they persuade ppl to buy. "beli la kak, baik untuk budak budak...etc". from wat i know...test marketing never persuade ppl to buy. the BIGGEST ironi is my supervisors think i m idiot or sumting....one introduce himself to customers as "i m from disney musical from one utama n we r having a campaign downstairs". HALO....arent we from Ideal Approach n wer is the f**king campaign u r talking bout??? this is cheating right??? the other supervisor intro himself to customers as "i m from music educational". WHAT??? total contrast right???



both my supervisors tries to brainwash me by telling me all this company trips, vice president's nice cars included wit pictures. attractive for a young man like me. but then i asked wat branch is this company as they say we r expansion. they say we r Ideal Approach n another is Orient 5. and the HQ??? guess wat? its DS-MAX, toronto canada. i duno bout this till i reach home n google it.



back to the office, hv a talk wit the manager/owner of the branch. aorund the same age of me! n i m onli 24!!! he seems nice n in fact i feel nice talking to him. he shows me the other countries branches n it seems wat Ideal Approach do is onli flyers. he explained quite a number of things n i start to think this might not be a direct selling after all. n i saw the photos of vice presidents (i googled later n found out they r real n lots of complains bout them n DS Max in philipines).



wat makes me start to ponders about this is a scam/direct selling??? ok i will be paid basic 1500 plus 300 allowance. but i m required to start work the very next day!!! wow! either than a shopping mall promoter, i never knew a job interview will be this quick! 1st interview-call for 2nd interview onli 2 hours later-2nd interview which is the "observation" n i m confirmed n need to start work 2molo. i think well.....fresh graduate no experience.....1500 plus 300 allowance is ok wat. n no need sales quota. i accept.



then i reach home n google bout DS-Max n found out bout all this! thanks to u all!!! thinking back on how they tempt me as i applied for management trainee....





start work to 1 month - if performance good, promote to leader/supervisor



after 6 to 8 months - if performance good n prove can handle team as supervisor, promote to assistant manager



another 1-2months - if performance as assistant manager is good, promote to manager. shorter period coz i hv learn all bout being a manager as an assistant manager.



isnt it all so tempting??? but then....if no sales then how to know if performance good??? coz if just ask ppl interested or not, its an easy job.even my 7 years old cousin can do dat. plus....i saw the motivational white board....teams n team leader with points n all.....how to calculate the points??? n my dearest supervisors.....they say they r being laid back becoz i m having my 1st day observing them.if i got offered the job, they will be going much more higher pace n force. means persuade ppl to buy harder??? they n the manager keep trying to tell me do not force ppl to buy.

erm....i never c a direct sales guy force ppl to buy. they persuade ppl to buy real hard. n my supervisors do the same. and then....if in 9 months i will be a manager, how many managers will there hv??? their reason, expansion....n i dun c where the expansion is going to be. they claim they hv a Malaysia HQ in subang n is now moved to shah alam. the land in shah alam worth rm6 million n the building itself is rm6 million. if so.....y r we in this old shoplot in PJ? y we dun get a bigger office in some corporate buildings like Wisma Cosplant, Wisma Genting, etc???



to my dearest one day supervisors which seems to be brainwash, (it seems they still get paid as a leader in a region of 2300) i hope wat u believe is true n will not get cheated but despite all ur trust in me, i dun dare to take the risk. (i overheard they saying bout commission when i ask is 2300 reasonable. if we r not doing sales, then wer does commision comes from?)
