I just changed my Cherry VISA debit card to the new MU VISA debit card and i absolutely love it. I am not a fan of MU (or football) but the design is so much better than the Cherry one. The Maybank logo is printed at the back of the card instead of the front and the card is in matte finish, just like the Citibank Platinum Cash Back card tongue.gif

I paid RM12. Told the bank officer that i lost my card so i do not have to return the card to Maybank but before that, i asked if they still have any MU VISA debit card in stock, just in case as i only want to change to the MU VISA debit card, not the Cherry VISA debit biggrin.gif

About a year or two ago, someone complained his card's chip is faulty but he still had to pay the card replacement fee. The guy apparently wasn't happy as he's been using the card for less than one year. He complained something about the card's quality is subpar but the bank officer insisted that he was liable for the card replacement fee and told him that they will give him a free replacement if it's been only used for only a few days. So i didn't bother to tell them the chip is faulty. But do update us here if you manage to get a free card replacement, perhaps next time i'll give it a try biggrin.gif

Yes. But the bank officer said it is free only if it doesn't work on the first use or it becomes faulty in the first few days. The guy that i talked about had use his for only a few months. So he wasn't to happy to pay for the card replacement fee but he had no choice.

Saw my friend's card and I like the matte finish. Now I'm tempted my Cherry Visa Debit card. laugh.gif
