UKM and USM do offer forensic science.......but the job prospect is growing very slow......If you want to work at police department, they will require you to become a police then everything is good for you unless leave this field......

Court doctor, I will look them as a forensic pathologist.....You need to have MBBS or MD first then specialise in pathology.....this is the only way, be a doctor.......

i have read some articles ..
they will not accept those who wear glasses as it considers as " police "
But most of the students are wearing and this makes them struggling after completed their degree .

How about the other countries .. like singapore ??

By the way .i' m doing A level right now .So ,is it possible for me to enter UKM or USM ?
any private uni ?

Honestly ,i kinda worry about my choice as it will affect and determin any future ,hoping will find some extra information at here . laugh.gif laugh.gif

It may sounds a bit unorthodox, but you may learn a lot of forensics stuff from CSI and Dexter

For the police, you should check their requirements....and there is no guarantee that you can work as a forensic scientist in the police department........

If you can afford overseas, then just go ahead, this field in Malaysia needs years to warm up....

Better you take overseas degree and work there..........because

1) The course structure may not suit overseas workforce....

2) because of 1), you may get unemployed and stuck in Msia yourself

3) Very less local private uni offer this , I am not sure

Can find out financial aid if your result is good......since you take A level, you still have broader choices.......

Forensic science is a huge branch. A lot of field are directly or indirectly related to forensic science anyway. My course only touch briefly on forensic, and what can i say, its not my cup of tea. I reckon CSI are left for the police anyway, and forensic chemist are the one analysing the samples and whats not.

But i did have a chance to observe a real life autopsy, well, enlightening, but its not for the weak of heart. laugh.gif

Anyway i think anyone has a chance to be a legal examiner / court doctor since u are merely there to provide opinions regarding the evidence. But then the judge have a right to kick u out if ur credentials aren't good enough. Working experiences, education matters i guess.

^ correct me if i am wrong, i am just spitting out what the lecturer taught me.
