Old Car - S.Neo - Mline - Stock - Manual

New car - PE - Silver - Hi Line - Auto. No Intention of modding except for DIY that do not cost much.. Wont be able to poison me (of course - stock tint will remove and put others  )

Been reading LYNNPPC thread since V23....that is how long I have been surveying for a new car... 2months back.  Wanna buy new car cause me like the new 1.5 Myvi.... but for the pricing of 56K, it is just for the looks, and near to nothing feature, except turtling, + my GF no like Myvi... saying it is a girl car forget it - i went and surveyed other car model

I have Surveyed in order:-

Peugeot 207 SV - Tempted to buy due to the 5yrs free service & warranty + 5k discount somemore. But the interior feel too cheap to my liking. Door like toy car closing....no oopmh....doesnt feel right when cornering. Could be the balancing still for 206hatchback. If 308, at the same price, I WILL BUY IT.... 

Swift - too small

FLX - GF + Family no like. They said it looks like old man car from the back.......somemore only in solid white which is hard to maintain.... (shhh... i like this car)

PE - already book. THATS WHY I AM HERE !!!!!!!!!!!! 

Forte and Mazda - low in $$$$ no intention of buying as I wan full specs, but both car is good.

LASTLY - Persona R - was thinking of the Pro and cons.... should I wait? or should I not....the design looks ok, but I am expecting the price range to be from 55k-70k from Standard to Exec model which is bit wee off from my budget. Chances of it coming out in Feb & March is high but it could take longer and mebe need to wait until mid yr + 1st batch of cars from Proton usually gave numerous trouble - so might only buy it if possible end of 2012 (which the work already end) . Since I know Neo will production will be cut next yr, except for CPS line, my Neo resell value will drop... -

SO - PE is the way to go. In my Budget + Full Spec + Family Car

SO, read and read and read and read multiple forums, with lotsa info learned, especially here in LYN PPC... very informal but fun... the way I likes it. 
QUESTIONS for you (LYN PPC)
1) I am a manual driver - changing to Auto - How is it going up Genting? I knew that some of you here is able to go up without any problem, and some make it there but hard. Is it that those that make it up use L/2/3 gear (which I intend to use) and not D?

2) I like DIY... Does any of you have personal DIY or links for Persona? For example, I like the site below for PE DIY mods...

3) Any of you got a good link to crack Lokatoo to papago x8.5?

4) My FC for my NEO previously was 9-10L/100KM - then got light footed driving like an uncle at 90-120kmh only... what do you think my FC for PE Auto will be like?

Please pray I have no problem with this new PE.... I have drove Aeroback and Neo (touchwood) - no issues. Hopefully, Proton god will treat me well again.

When should we change the accessories belt? I know the timing belt should be changed after 80K, before 100K. My current mileage is 71K and some say that the accessories belt should be changed at 60K

By the way, just wanna ask see anybody facing this problem on their persona or not.

Yesterday I was driving downhill from Genting (Of course is not Initial D that kind)
Gear Using was 1, 2 & 3 and most of the time is 2 and 3rd gear repeat (rpm about up to max 4K)

Once I done down hill then come to highway, on the way home that time, Check Engine Light was ON.

I stop my car at road side for 20 minutes and start engine again, it was still ON, then i just drive home off engine for few hours, then try start engine , it was still ON.

This morning i start engine again, it was still ON ! Then i drive to nearby Proton Authorize SC, stop my car there ask the technician come out to have a look. Now the problem is, the lights go off after i start engine.... (wired huh  )

No matter i try how many time start engine it was off already.

Question is : Do this really ok ? I ask the SC to check see can detect error code or not from the ECU. He told me , if wanna do diagnose gonna pay RM64 
( He say was listed in the user manual gonna pay )
And he told me that light is normal   
Anybody facing this b4 ?

macam today I at cheras highway wanna turn into Taman Danau Desa from middle lane. I already signaled and wanna change lane already and some old datsun behind me keep moving forward although my front left wheel already entering the slow lane. So I just add a bit throttle and creep to the front and then he just gave me a long honk.

Such uncivilized behavior, not willing to give way. kereta dahlah buruk. padan muka dia. he can go drive that old datsun 120Y and die.

Folks, need some ideas from you all.. If lets say there is a new TV series about cars coming up, what name would be catchy enough to name it? Like TopGear, Fifth Gear, Driven.. Apa ideas lagi?

fark la... yesterday went genting around 10pm++... bla bla bla walk out from casino about 1am++... saw Neo TT 18 cars , when we reach top around 11pm got 1 group of assorted carcar. Evo , eg , ek , civic , satria gti... damn 7 noisy. when going downhill 2am , bus station saw 4 inspira parking aside duno do what. lolz

my persona's dog bone arm (short) on the RHR is busted. awaiting new replacement part which is no more under warranty. apparently that particular part i suspect was due to manufacturing defect from day one because the noise was intermittent and few months ago it got louder and louder. And two days ago it is very obvious already after my 850KM drive.

initially proton took it out and pushed open the boot and pumped in grease. it solved the noise for about a day only. Now its back.

New part cost RM68 plus RM20 labour plus RM15 realignment (rear only). one month later after my 2 years general warranty is over... and this happen. KNS!

For those who do not know what is dog bone arm (name given by most mechs) this is how it looks like below.

Looks like some sealant like OptiSeal and much cheaper too. You getting one?
