hi bro any recommended 3rd party brand of battery to buy?

i am currently looking at 2000mah capacity and hopefully do not require to replace the back plate for the battery..

please advice...

Just a question, I am on non-g version with stock rom, with CF-root, can I replace with siyah kernel, any problems? It will not wipe my phone right? Thanks!

i'm a moderate user only meh. at least it proves that SGS2 can have a long standby time. after this want to try achieve at least 4-5 hours of screen on time.

what's good compare to CM7:
- much better battery life
- support tvout
- support ntfs thumb drive (though still buggy and require manual work)
- my favourite feature in CM7, the notification toggle bars is in checkrom too, though cannot reorder the toggles
- customizable extended power menus (choose from a bunch of options)
- better stock video player
- easily mod the camera to support volumn button shutter and low battery camera hack, the CM7 camera looks ugly also and video recording less smooth
- SMOOTH in everything
- default sms app still better, with sms notification appear in screen that you can 'slide to open sms'
- can use any kernels unlike CM7
- many useful mods in kitchen dont need to search in between forums and forums
- arcade emulator (tiger arcade in particular) runs smoother compare to CM7

what i miss in CM7:
- the ring lock screen
- able to stop app via long-press back button
- permissiosn management that can block any app from accessing certain permission built in (don't need seperate app) i think this is the best feature i miss from CM7
- swipe away notifications

overall, pros more than cons combine checkrom with go launcher (best launcher evarrrr) is a perfect match!
So far no encounter wakelocks yet.. will update you after further monitoring

you are using data connection also right? that should be good enough i think. as long as you can get that kind of screen on time, 2-3 hours is good. the best i've heard from xda was 6 hours..

that should be ok. did you try to UV your voltage setting? i already decreased mine 50mV. no hang or auto reboot until now.

? why need to rearrange icons in app drawer, there's a sort -> by alphabet feature. Every time a new app is installed it auto add in the correct place with a 'new app' tag on the icon... save me all the hassle of sorting O_O on TW everytime i install a new app i need to manually sort it haha totally different experience compare to use even though using same thing duno why...

btw i put scrolling vertically (continuous), wonder if that's the reason.. so it flows continuously don't have the issue you facing

I find 2 things that frequently cause my device to hang with siyah.
1) 100mhz - i have stop using this freq
2) ondemand/ondemandx governor - also stop using it. Now testing lazy governor which is only available on 2.2

Edit: Go launcher can create folder in the app drawer if you want to sort your apps/games

I got to say this is the best Android phone by far. I have updated it to 2.3.5 and it really stable.

die lor last time those companies use sms to advertise, at least they need to pay money for each sms sent... now with whatsapp they can just send to everyone non stop without paying more
