Ladies and gentlemen, RB951G-2HnD is available starting from now and it is replacing RB751G-2HnD with the same price!
QUOTE The RB951G-2HnD is a wireless SOHO Gigabit AP with a new generation Atheros CPU and more processing power. It has five Gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 2.0 port and a high power 2.4GHz 1000mW 802.11b/g/n wireless AP with antennas built in. In comparison with previous model RB751G-2HnD, it has more powerful 600Mhz CPU (instead of 400Mhz), more RAM - 128MB instead of 64MB, same form factor and price. The device is very small and will look good in any home or office, wall mounting anchor holes are provided. Find more information at http://routerboard.com/RB951G-2HnD. |

Dealing to buy is damn easy.
Pros: The cheapest with loads of awesome useful features. Feature wise is enterprise grade. Didn't expect things like SoC etc Small footprint (read cute Great hardware. Won't go into details of it Great software Stability is there Cons: Not really plug&play and [almost] idiot proof design. Requires bit of basic technical knowledge. Bland color Workaround: Perhaps get some basic stuff preconfigured for you [like preconfigured for Unifi etc] and you can learn along the way [if need to implement new feature] Spray it with different color then..make a rainbow also can Conclusion: If you plan to dish out 300 or more on some Asus stuff for example then have a look at this first |

The latest major version of RouterOS, RouterOS 6.0 is out of beta and officially released now!
QUOTE MikroTik RouterOS Version 6 Changes Here is a list of some changes and improvements for RouterOS v6 • A new linux kernel is used (version 3.3.5) which enables us to use the latest drivers and support most of the latest hardware • Simple queue mechanism is improved to greatly benefit setups with hundreds or thousands of Simple queue rules • Simple queue performance on multicore systems is improved significantly • Latest v6rc3 adds more Simple queue optimizations, Packet flow is slightly changed as you can see in the diagram below • v6 also features fastpath feature - a mechanism of packet flow shortcuts to massively improve data throughput, currently this feature is added to simple setups, like routing, bridging and mpls, but in future we plan to enable fast path for more complex features, such as Firewall • Fastpath is also supported for MPLS traffic since RouterOS v6rc3 • RouterOS is now made 64bit for TILE architecture, that is used on our new Cloud Core Router devices (see article on page 1), giving ability to use 16GB of RAM or more Hidden Feature - Cable Diagnostics The ability to detect cable problems has now been added in RouterOS v6rc3 and newer releases. RouterOS will tell you: • Which cable pair is broken • At what length the cable is broken • How the cable is broken - torn or shorted This works on SXT-G, RB711G, RB2011, RB750 series and other devices with the same switch chips, and also the new Cloud Core series devices.
