So its not going to void my warranty or anything ?
The SA was recomending me to go for v-kool and he said that it could be done with vw itself. He recommend one which had a safety feature which prevents the glass from breaking, Was quoted around rm2200 for it. Is it worth in your opinion ?
*
Depends on which grade of V-Kool. The SA is not wrong to say that they can do the tint within the branch itself as some showrooms have special pre-delivery rooms that are dust free, making it ideal for good tint work. Do some research on the range of V-kool then ask what the SA is offering. If the SA can't even give you the grade, perhaps you can explore your options elsewhere. And no, tinting outside won't void warranty.

I've got 3M for the front and rear windscreens and Llumar for the sides. I find the security/heat rejection combo to be better than the full Llumar on my Golf

looks like polo sedan sales is not like what they expected. got txt from SA twice bout special rates and discounts for 2011 unit.. i'd rather wait for CKD price.
*
I think they got the Polo sedan pricing all wrong. At slightly over RM100k, you've got a load of options, most of which are larger, offers better specifications, performance and handling. I'd rather pay a few thousand more and get the Peugeot 408 2.0 NA since the selling price of RM109,888 is inclusive of insurance and for that price you get a much larger car with a more powerful and proven engine. Polo sedan only sells based on badge ... there's nothing else to shout about the car (best B segment rear legroom?)

on hand i got 4 cars incl me (golf tsi) confirmed for 3M d.
my fren rcmd 3M n i study all tint spec found 3M IRR 97% is highest.
yday fren tested KESAS smart tag ok with slow speed.

for me all brand highest spec are good, either one is good.
gucci, prada, LV which one is good? for me either one is good.
but one of my fren insist wan 3M, another fren any brand ok, so just confirmed 3M dont waste time look ard.

if u interested then PM me lo.
2 cars done yday n day before, mine n another fren going this noon or tomorrow.

I've had Llumar on my Golf TSi and no issues with Smart Tag

My Skoda, I did 3M Crystalline 70 for front and 50 for the rear. Smart Tag occasionally have problems so the installers made a 7" black border on the top which is Smart Tag friendly. I chose 3M because it offers the best cost vs effect. In terms of heat rejection, it is possible that VKool's highest grade is better but price-wise it's going to set you back more than RM2k. The deal I got for 3M front/rear and Llumar for sides is less than RM2k

Sounds like what you are hearing is engine knocking. Let me guess, did you pump Shell Ron95?

Try to avoid pumping from stations that have low traffic. Personally I would prefer Petronas Primax95

I'd take Esso anytime

I have a 2011 Golf and the lighting is the same as the 2012. There are 2 cornering lights in the Golf (those in 2011 has an option of purchasing it with or without this feature): dynamic and static. Static bending activates your front fog lights (left turns on when you're turning left and vice versa on the opposite direction) occurs when you're stationary to speeds up to 10kph (dynamic is not active at these speeds). Dynamic bending is when the xenon light beam swivels and turns as you turn the steering wheel and only happens at speeds above 10kph.

More details here:

my concern is when turn on engine, my 2010 golf (w/o LED) can self check swivel, so by right it can dynamic d.
just need test it to confirm, duno how to test ^^
*
Drive around in a dark car park at speeds higher than 10kph and turn the steering wheel. The swivel is not as aggressive as a Peugeot system but it's present .... shining the light on a wall as you drive the car and turn is the best way to see the beam direction

Just got my 1.4 Rocco yesterday.

When I lock the car from outside using the key, would the sidemirrors fold itself? Currently it doesnt. How do I set it to fold once I key lock it?

THANKS ALL!! I LOVE VW!
*
No, it does not fold. Some say reprogramming using VAGCOM is possible but personally I have not met anyone who has done it.

Yes kenso your info is accurate. I found this last night in the manual too. So far I think I have activated it in the MDF - unchecked travel mode and checked bend lighting. I am also aware that the maximum that the lights will swivel is 15 degree. I believe my lights do no swivel, I am just not 100% sure whether I'm not observant enough (I've been looking at it very hard for a few days now), or there's more to the MDF setting than what I just described, or mine is defect.

It's just added pain when the SA told me that only the GTI Golf has this feature.

Which branch is this?

I'm curious, does the bluetooth on the 2011 Volkswagen Polo work? And if yes, how? Cause the sales person says it doesn't.
*
It doesn't. So your second question is moot blush.gif

You have a Polo yourself? smile.gif
*
No, I have a Golf which also has a moot button. The Bluetooth module can be retrofitted outside but would set you back by about RM2k

all vw radio players doesn't have inbuild bluetooth

This only applies to models sold officially in Malaysia due to local regulations that VGM seem to have some issues in complying with. Elsewhere, the BT module is standard

Can anyone tell me how long it took before VW deliver the car to them after loan approve and all? I bought my car from Cergaz TTDI

My loan approved yesterday and all but the sales still can't give me a definite date until tomorrow. This wait is killer mad.gif

The car is supposedly ex-stock but does it still take like a week or something or is it faster before they release it to you?

Appreciate any feedback
*
Your car still needs to go through Puspakom inspection, PDI, K9 customs declaration form, clearance of duties, registration with JPJ and (if not paid already) clearance of the remaining 10% (or whatever amount not covered by the loan) payment. All in all, probably a week's time of work

Hey guys need your help on this. My friend's Polo has one of the icon lights came on and I'm not sure what it means. I've attached the picture here. Any advise on what this light means?
*
I got that before. And it was one of the number plate bulbs that blew. Not sure about Polo but Golf has a fault menu that tells which bulb is faulty
