Thanks, the riding experience is great. the car run smooth, quiet and stable.

the pickup power is excellent though it is still not as good as my bro's tiguan. overall no complain with the car, just yet.

seen the Golf R myself last week, seriously the look itself is so freakin sexy and the bucket seats, feel very comfort and pampered once sit in.

too bad malaysia doesn't have 3 doors version. certainly the 3 doors version is more sporty than the 5 doors.

anyway, does anyone notice the golf tsi suspension is abit on the soft side? kinda bumpy compare to my previous car toyota vios, is it norm?

think i use the wrong choice of word. i should use the word "floaty" as in the car is short of like bouncy(boink boink kinda feeling) when go over bumpy road...

when you get your car? mine is last batch of 2011 car. or is it other Golf TSI are the same?

by any chance i can improve the floaty effect on my golf? just change the spring coil? some said change bigger rims will make the car more stable? which 1 is more effective eh?

whats your best FC so far? i've got 475.6km for RM70 Petronas RON95.

which approx 12.9KM/L. 80%highway+20%city area. cruising around 90-110 on D mode.

any recommendation or spec i need to check before i buy the bulk? i read online is i need to look for H7 light bulb for VW.

Anyway just want to share some of my findings on FC with my golf 1.4tsi

So far i've tried 3 brands of petrol, Petronas, Esso and Caltex. i feel the Esso gives me the best performance so far.


when i first got my car, i pumped petronas all the way until my 4th tank of petrol, i decided to change to other brand and look for the best fuel suit my car.

so i tried Esso mobil as i heard from others that Esso mobil also gives very good FC. after pumped in Esso, i immediately feel the difference, it gives me very good power output, car easily rev up quickly with minimum press on pedal. best of all, i manage to clocked 480km with RM70 Ron95. (70%HW and 30%city driving). 90-110kmh most of the time and occasionally S mode (180kmh)

as for petronas, i manage to clock almost the same FC with same rate of ratio, 475km@RM70, Ron95 for petronas. (70%HW and 30%city driving). 90-110kmh most of the time and occasionally S mode (180kmh)

However petronas can't give the same performance to my car like Esso does.

anyway, after first tank of Esso, i decided to try Caltex as i read online some said caltex give good FC and power output. however, it is not the case to my golf. after pumped in caltex, car feel very sluggish and heavy, the feeling is distinct compare to Esso and i feel very suffer during this period. i didn't have the patience to test out the FC for caltex so i floor it most of the time i driving and before i pumped my 2nd tank of esso, it clock 390km#RM70, Ron95. right before the red line.

As for rating from myself, Esso will be top of my choice follow by Petronas and avoid Caltex at all cost.

And from now on i will start pump esso for long term and decided to ditch petronas for good. (mind u i was loyal petronas user for almost 7 years).

anyone care to share their FC experience on their VWs?

i believe everywhere is the same. i've heard alot of bad stories for almost every branches i know in KL. even me myself had bad experience with VW dealer when i purchase my golf....

as far as i know, for Golf tsi discount. should be 1%+-. thats the offer for golf tsi (year 2012). if you lucky and don't mind getting a year old car, u can look for year 2011 golf. basically everything is the same just the car price depreciated.

i got my 2011 golf tsi with discount RM15k+3 time free services. i signed the offer at the mid of Feb and got my car after a month.

the 3 times free services were available for all cars regardless 2011 or 2012 year made, it was the Chinese New Year promotion, not sure VW still have this offer though.

erm, i didnt get any notification or letter from VW yet. better i wait for the notification so i might have chance to get the RM100 redeem voucher
