I asked my sa she said she'll check with hq because the hq haven't give them their allocation yet

Yup golf gti 2012 already arrived i asked my sa and she didn't know but an sa from other branch have confirmed it with me. Now i wonder have each branches received their allocation for the cars. My sa said she didn't know because she haven't received the allocation yet but that was last week when i asked her. The cars have arrived for a week now. Usually how long does it takes to clear the custom check and any other processes until hq will give allocations for each branch? Anyone knows?

My SA called me and asked me to come make the payments so that the car can be proceeded, so it might take another week. but it is in the showroom already. anyway, check with your SA which batch will your delivery be? and which branch did u book?

Is that the 2nd batch? Because the 1st batch has arrived 2weeks ago. But i still haven't got any news from my sa yet. Everytime i called n asked her she said her branch haven't received the allocation yet n she said every other branches also haven't received their allocation yet. When actually i know some other branches already received it and even delivered the car to their customers who booked in november. I booked mine in end of september last year how come mine is not here yet then? My sa should have just told me if my car is not here yet instead of lying by telling me my car is already here but just that she haven't received allocation yet. I have a feeling that my car might arrive in the 2nd batch later. Haihh another extra month of waiting. What a dissapointment.

May i know what's the market price for a 2010 golf gti? Because a friend of mine is looking to buy one and he found this guy who wants to sell his 9 months old 2010 made golf gti for 175k. Is that price okay?
Btw the golf gti is still with standard stock without any mods because the owner is an old guy

For golf, only golf r has both front and rear led light.
2011 golf has only front drl light.
The rear led light comes in stock exclusive for golf r only. That's why the rear led light is called golf r tail light.
I think almost all of the golfs that u see they just installed the led lights themselves. It costs around 2k to change from stock golf rear light to golf r rear light.

As for polo, only polo gti has both i guess, if i'm not mistaken.

Hmm i don't know about the price at exotic mods. My cousins got theirs around 2.2k too last year. Truth is, i haven't even got my car yet. Its still in port klang i'm still waiting to collect it. But i already asked around and my friend told me there's a shop in sunway area that charges around 2k-2.1k for the golf r tail light together with the installation. As soon as i get my car i'm gona change the tail light, put on some dark tint and a nice plate number. The other mods can wait

So my car finally arrived at the showroom today. After waiting for so long. Now i'm just waiting for my loan to be processed. Should be done by next week.

The thing that i want to complain is, my sa just informed me today that the car is already available in the showroom. And that is after i asked her first. Otherwise she wouldn't tell me anything. It has always been like this. She wouldn't inform me anything unless i asked her first. When actually last friday she promised me that she was going to check the status of the car from the custom place on saturday n then she will inform me about it immediately after that. But no, she just kept quiet till today so i asked her, and she told me that the car is already in the showroom.

And that's not bad enough, the worst thing is she said i have to give her my loan by tomorrow. I told her that it's still in process, then she said ok then just pay the balance first but whatever it is, it has to be by tomorrow. I'm taking 100k loan so the balance is another 110k. What, she think i can just go to bank and transfer 110k to her just like that in a day? She said if i can't fork out 110k tomorrow i have to at least give her 50k by tomorrow as a confirmation that i'm commited to buy the car, otherwise she will have to give it to someone else in the waiting list. She said actually her boss said the due date is today but she already asked him to postponed it till tomorrow. The thing is, so why didn't she tell me that sooner then? Right? Is that procedure normal? Luckily i do have the money ready. So my parents will settle things with her tomorrow since i have to go outstation for work. Hopefully i'll get my car by the time i got back next week.

There is a car fair at vw chan sow lin branch today. I was planning to go but with all the bersih today i don't think can go anymore

Gonna pick up my golf gti right after i finished working tomorrow. Finally

i've collected my car on wednesday but i've been too busy with work to update here.

well, the 1st thing that i did after collecting my car is putting on a new plate number
since the original one was too big and it looked ugly.


and 8 hours later i was stopped at a jpj roadblock
luckily the jpj guy let me go after i slowtalked with him.
but i still need to redo the plate number because this one is obviously gonna get me caught by the jpjs again.

something really bad happened to me just now, i had an accident!
although not so serious but an accident is still an accident.
i hit a divider and scratched one of my rims really bad while avoiding from a stupid exora that was about to hit me because the driver was looking away while driving.


but my cousins n friends said i dont need to worry so much i just need to send it to a shop and polish it then the scratches will disappear. is that true? can my rim be saved?

Hmm but it is the shiny chrome type. I may need to skim it back if polishing doesnt work
I dont think there is anything serious since i didnt hit the divider so hard it was just a short touch but still the divider is made of hard rock so it scratched my rim. It doesnt seem to be out of shape or anything else other than the scratches. But okay i'll send it to a tyre shop to have it checked anyhow. Thanks for the advice.

Added on May 13, 2012, 3:49 pmI dont know what the original plate number is but its the one that is made from metal. It was okay except that i think the font was too big thats why i changed. When the jpj stopped me he said the size that is approved by jpj is 4x7cm. Mine is 3x5cm. When i redo it maybe i'll use the same type as my current one but i'll change the size to a bigger one perhaps 4x6cm like my previous car, never had any problem with jpj roadblocks with that one.

Anyway i'm planning to change to golf r tail light soon. Any recommendation on where can i get it with best price? And also, what did u guys do with the original golf tail light when u changed to the r tail light? Can i trade it in or sell it? If i sell it how much can i get from it? Thanks

Just now i sent my car to a carwash n left it there while they're washing it. When they're done n i got it back, i noticed like there's something wrong with my armrest. I cant lock it so that it stops at whatever degree like i locked it before anymore. I can only pull it up and push it completely down but it wont lock in the middle. Yes i can make it stop at any degree in between since its quite tight but it just wont lock it will just fall down again when i put my arm on it or push it down. I've tried so many times but still the same. Did the guys at the car wash broke it or something? How can i check whether its broken or not?

Gongrats . I just collected my golf gti around 3-4 weeks ago too. That time my sa already prepared the check list she asked me to check them one by one and then sign on the check list if everything is ok

Same thing happened to me when my car arrived at the port i still had to wait around 3-4 weeks for the custom n vgm to settle everything and another week for the bank to approve my loan. I've never heard anything about new pricing for golf gti though. Its okay just be patience n wait for a few more weeks u wont regret it when u get the car later

How come I didn't get any free services? Is it only for those buying 2011 car?
