dear kuman,

my deepest sympathy for you. if you think that's a 1/144, you're conned. if you think that looks like a bloody BA 744, again you're conned. if you think an RM7.90 die-cast model can do you any good for collecting it, once again you're conned. and finally, if you think BA really has such a livery, you're really conned! it looks more like a kid's toy to me...sorry, but your model is not even close to being real.

what Jackygwh have there is genuine die-cast 1/400 JA 744 models. Jackygwh, correct me if it's not 1/400. and i think they're manufactured by Dragon Wings, yes?

ok, not conned, but seriously, kuman, it has the features of a 744, but it's not how a real 744 looks like. i'm just giving you real advice from the perspective of an aviation enthusiast. no pun intended.

jackygwh, RM1.1k???? that's really errr...bit too expensive... but wait, where did you get it from? JA? and i believe if you paid that amount for it, it's a limited edition set, ya?

i'm a beginner with aircraft models, but i'm getting there, only very slowly - plenty of work at the moment. i'm more of an aviation enthusiast...

the simpson livery aircraft has the rego N949WP, aircraft type is B733, operated by Western Pacific Airlines. for the real aircraft's photo, search for the rego at http://www.airliners.net/

cheers!

this would go a bit off topic, but since you're interested in it, i'll give you guys a teaser...
A380 landed in Sydney at 0940 hours EST Sunday (30 mins behind schedule) after 2 orbits around the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Landed on Runway 34L, exited via Taxiway Bravo 2 and parked at Domestic Terminal.

Also heard that DW might release A380 on special Asian tour livery...

By the way, it is now in Melbourne and will fly back to Brisbane tomorrow. Departing Brisbane on Wednesday, approx 1400 hrs EST. Will arrive KLIA in late evening, be towed into a hangar and have MAS decals put on. It'll move across to Bunga Raya complex the next day (i.e. Thursday) for VIP visit and then to the terminal area for airport ground ops tests.

Have fun!

the A380 i showed you earlier is on its Asian Tour, enrouting to Dubai Airshow in late November.

A380 old version is A3XX, and i don't have it.

if i'm to decide, i'd forget about fleet upgrade for the moment. get rid of excessive MAS employees. and finally set up a subsidiary airline to serve those useless and unprofitable routes. THEN i think about buying either A380, A350, 787 or 738 or even A320!

but anyway, i've got the A380 1:400 diecast model in SIA livery. laugh.gif

no A300s, but A330s. some are scheduled to operate KUL-PEN, although seat factors had been quite low. and yes, they are leased.

old livery, yes. i have 9M-MPD in old livery, now looking for 9M-MPD in the new Hibiscus livery. would also love to get hold of the 9M-MRD Heliconia 772.

Strangely the Heliconia livery isn't on sale, at least not in their in-flight catalogue.  Even the Hibiscus is limited to 1,000 units.

DW is making MRD models (yeah, the Heliconia). the MRD models are sold online, not inflight (to date).

yup, MPD models sold by MH is limited to 1,000 units - special edition, so-called. but you can always buy some online. there's DW and GJ manufacturing it, if i'm not mistaken.
