I've thrown away most of my aircraft models. This is the only model I actually spent money on a casing for -- the Grumman F14A Tomcat.

i bought it at a departmental store near my place here...

the scale is 1/72 KITECH brand.. not very accurate but will do for the purpose of learning...

i'm learning to properly use putty and sanding with this kit... it seems to be ok...

yup.. some member also have a Raptor build before.. but his is more superior then mine because of the skill and techniques he uses..

the pic size is small because i dont want our dial-up user to suffer due to the time it would take to load the picture.. so i resize it a lil bit..

now i'm working on a 1/48 Sukhoi SU-27 Flanker "B".. dunno when can finish..

Erm ... what I meant was, thrown away the assembled ones. I still have a few unassembled ones which I plan to build in my old age.

Like I mentioned to kuman in a PM, I've been building models since Primary School and had quite a large collection. When I ran out of space in my showcase, I started stuffing them into boxes and cupboards. When that ran out of space, the models either became "air disaster" victims or were used in "experimentations" (similar to the A-bomb tests at Bikini Atoll).

I actually had a whole fleet of the Tamiya waterline series models, including the Hood, Prince of Wales, Rodney, KGV, Yamato, Musashi, etc., but they've all been scuttled.

Kuman, just a word of caution about using putty. Don't overdo it. In hot weather, it sorta breaks down and leaves cracks noticeable.

Jack: Yes, you do have a point. But I live in a small house, and aircraft models always seem to take up a lot of space due to their wings. Maybe I'll try to find a bigger box for my remaining models.

Kuman: The putty looks ok. But I'm no expert in this so I'm just saying it looks ok to me.  There's also liquid putty available FYI, and I'd recommend that for the fine cracks.

Yeah, which is why I included that picture of the model kit with fine panel lines. I prefer that 'solid' feel for model kits/toys/figurines by giving them a light panel line.
