Now, refer this, picture No. 7 from top. See there written "H/W ver. B1". Go take your N12 and see if the exactly same wording appear on the label underneath your N12. Flip it over to find it. Else, simpler way, how long is the antenna of your router? A finger long or more than two fingers long. (Thumbs up for nice description yo  icon_rolleyes.gif ) Because the older hardware version has short antenna about the length of a finger while newer one has gigantic antenna. I think around 15cm, not very sure. Lazy to measure my tp-link's antenna length. They should have the same length. For this comparison, refer last 3rd pic. The one on the left is the UniFi-compatible one.

is not like buying any new hardware
plug-in>click install>next >next> next > next> finish> "retart now?" or "i will restart later"

why so many manual configurations la... and then wat is firmware rclxub.gif and seemed like need to do something extra to be able to get IPTV ?

its really tough for ppl "end user" like me

==
by the way back to the unifi discussion... when will HIPTV get more channels like Astro, Wah Lai Toi, HBO, Star Movies, Star World ...??? their channels now are crappy... tongue.gif

My installation were supposed to be on Jan 2nd but was happy that it get pull-in to Dec 16. The installers are TM employees and came in TM car at about 10am. He is very polite and friendly. However their contractor would pull the cable from DP to the pit in my house thru several manholes. They started by inserting the black fiber into a hard protective sleeving and cut the cable to length. After that they pull the cable from DP to 1st manhole  at the main road and would pull it to another manhold for my row of houses. Lo and behold..the manhole is locked with padlock. The TM installer went back to their exchange somewhere to look for keys. After a long wait, they came back with a bunch of keys at around 12pm but none of the keys work. Thats it...installation aborted and need to reschedule. TM contractor pull out the cables and closed all manholes. That was last Friday and until now TM has yet to reschedule my installation. Maybe they are still looking for the key...

very big padlock? wat if they cant find the key? break the lock?

hope u resolve the issue soon

by the way, try call the 1300 number, and lodge a report on this case, this way they will have to work on your report until it is resolve, atleast u can have something to track , there'll be a report number after u file the complain

It isn't too hard either  doh.gif
Step by step guide is already provided. Follow closely and you're good to go.

Anyway, why don't you answer my question first. That is, to find out your hardware revision. It's something you no need to get your hands dirty to look for in on your computer. It's just right on the router. The appearance and the label. The thing is that. If your N12 is the old one, it can't even be used with the provided firmware (for use with UniFi and IPTV) and that means you can never replace it with the provided router.

Those channels you mentioned, license for malaysia is held by Astro. Unless TM does something with Astro, else it's impossible for IPTV to have those channels.

*
u mean if my version is N12 then i cant use the Asus router? then have to use something else, i.e. TP link as such? ok later i check... i now outside...

hm.. those channels, i bet they want money also, if TM get license from them? wishful thinking, how can astro monopoly, we want competition!!! lol, and astro = raining no hope, many times, watch till kanjeong part, rain, no signal -FFFUUUFFFFF

Just limit yourself. it's not like you HAVE to download. And besides, it's a good time to stop doing illegal downloading and teach yourself to get originals ;3
