QUOTE(GRAYY @ Nov 19 2011, 08:59 PM) No problem so far with kj5. Added on November 19, 2011, 9:01 pm Does it matter ? For less than RM900 ! You expect gorilla ? QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Nov 19 2011, 10:07 PM) u get gorilla with lower spec phone or no gorilla with higher spec phone,,,,, come on man do the math??? QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Nov 19 2011, 10:12 PM) i believe he is trying to say that samsung could actually put gorilla glass into this model instead of normal screen....but i think samsung got their own reasons la...maybe its just to save manufacturing cost so this phone price wont be above 1k price range QUOTE(GRAYY @ Nov 19 2011, 10:14 PM) Do the math man I need not to do the maths. I restate my thought.*Look at the bold part first* Ace is below 900 and it has Gorilla. Just an answer to that question telling that it's possible to get Gorilla below 900. Nothing else. Arguments end here |

QUOTE(wat @ Nov 20 2011, 10:25 AM) Do you think it's worth trading Gorilla glass for these: The thing is... I'm just telling that there's phone <RM900 with Gorilla Glass. Nothing else.-1.4Ghz Snapdragon -Adreno 205 -512MB ram -bigger internal storage -3.7" WVGA screen -bigger battery And Gorilla glass is not even that much stronger than regular glass. My Cowon comes equipped with one; it fell on a wooden floor from the magazine rack underneath my coffee table and the screen cracked in half. My friend's Galaxy Ace fell numerous times while inside a leather casing, but the last fall finally managed to cracked the top portion of the glass. Answering your question, nope, it's not worth trading the specs for Gorilla Glass. The gorilla glass on S2 seems to be very strong. No?? Seeing how they do the drop test and only a small part cracked. |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Nov 20 2011, 12:34 PM) is there custom roms available already for this phone? (sorry noob in custom roms & rooting, but i m reading online tutorials all You just can't discuss Cracked/Pirated/Ehemhemhemhemhem software/apps here. I don't think there's anything wrong discussing custom rom. It's not against the law pun. We got the hardware, android is quite open for modification, google din sue anyone for modifying their OS. No problem gua... It's like discussing Custom firmware for Routers. Not something illegal to be discussed. Don't worry so much. lolif there is, who already flash their phone & using which rom? i know cant discuss about custom roms all...but general discussion on the type of custom roms that people are using is ok right? anyway i came across with the samsung counter for s2, does our phone also have this counter? |

QUOTE(juzu @ Nov 21 2011, 01:56 AM) r u sure it works by moving the Navisea folder into sd card? i have already done that and when i open the papago it didn't detect the maps folder. when i move it back to the internal memory storage it detects. He mean "MAP". Not just move but sort of like when you access the folder in ur internal memory, it will access the one on external MicroSD. This can only be done when your phone is rooted. |

Now there's more reason Samsung is not using some cheapo glass in their handsets
Maybe something old but I just discovered this Samsung joint venture with Corning http://samsungcorning.com/index.asp If samsung can produce, I don't see a reason samsung don't use it for all its product. Cheap for them right?? |

Someone should suggest to Samsung/Google to make the Packet Data thing disable by default, especially in Malaysia. I think Only few % mobile users in Malaysia has data plan...

QUOTE(PoPoBear @ Nov 22 2011, 07:01 PM) Hi guys. Sry if my post is wrong thread 1.. but i need to ask which one is better for me.. either Samsung Galaxy W or Sony Ericsson Arc... or either Samsung Galaxy W vs Samsung Galaxy S Plus .. can anyone PM me and tell which one is better..thanks.. If you want to know just which one is better,S Plus>Galaxy W for its Super Amoled Arc > Galaxy W for its camera but Arc < Galaxy W in performance Arc S > Galaxy W for camera and Arc S = Galaxy W for same CPU/Chipset used Arc/Arc S and S Plus got bigger screen of 4.0" vs W of 3.7". Samsung custom UI is more lagless compared to Sony one but I do like some of the features offered by Sony UI. ______________________________- How come sensation XL so expensive... Somemore it's overclocked 8255 1GHz chipset not 8255T used in W. It's priced even higher than sensation XE!!! 4.7" but 800*480 resolution, ppi too low la... Spotted Rhyme... another overprice piece of thing but the new UI is quite nice. Galaxy W really bang for bucks... This post has been edited by IwanAGP: Nov 22 2011, 07:19 PM |
