as i was thinking why not i reflash my Huawei E270 too. and then after flash it again wow it works again as normal,. but as u can see that E270 is good and consistent in DL speed only,. when come to upload speed is poor compare with E1762,.. i guess there is different between 900Mhz & 2100Mhz 3G band,.. as E270 only support 2Mbps upload and if DL speed is more important for you, E270 is good device for it,..

after reflash my Huawei E270 from DC-FILE, my E270 is obviously improve and working inside my house as getting the 2100Mhz 3G band as well, looks like my area have 900Mhz & 2100Mhz too,.. signal & consistency is much more better than E1762 even though only support 2100Mhz single band,..

[attachmentid=2547553]

and for E1762, you guys can try between the RAS (modem ) & NDIS both mode,.. plug your E1762 direct to your computer and select from the dashboard ,..

and you might surprise that either one of those work better than the other one,..

i just tested it myself,.. after select RAS in E1762 my upload speed improve a lot so does the PING lower a lot too,.. but for consistency in DL speed, i still love Huawei E270,..

i think somehow maxis does have HSPA+ in my area just that maxis control my speed last second in speedtest to prevent it go above HSPA hmm.gif hmm.gif

Huawei E270 is HSPA modem only, support 7.2Mbps DL , 2Mbps UL and 2100Mhz single 3G band support only too.

but still i have to say consistency in DL speed & super strong signal is the best so far in all modem i ever try,.!! great buy if ur area have 2100Mhz band running,. usual spot i put E1762 i get 51~67% signal only but when i put E270, i get 77~ 87% signal,. weird huh ? even though they both using same internet antenna chipset,.. hmm.gif hmm.gif

E270 is good in DL speed, but UL is low and cause the ping higher compare with E1762..
router dial E270 faster than E1762 for sure too,.. hmm.gif

fr wat i understands, 2100MHz provide HIGHER SPEED but 900MHz gives better RECEPTION but not necessary higher speed

higher bandwidth, gives higher speed and wider coverage but lower bandwidth (900MHz) u get better reception even in a "blind spot" area , i strongly believe 2100MHz suits u better

pls correct me if i am wrong

yea 2100Mhz definitely provide higher speed as u mobile is using it currently to provide 42Mbps in most of penang area,..

yea 2100Mhz penetration is much more weaker than 900Mhz,.

just am glas that my Huawei E270 is back alive and running again,.. thumbup.gif

Well, no need la. To me, this kind of speed is more than enough. tongue.gif
I want consistency, *high DL/UL/good PING.

*
High DL = >5Mbps
High UL = >1.5Mbps
Good PING = <55ms

wow,.. your request is much higher than mine,.. doh.gif

my area hardly can achieve 1.5Mbps UL,.. as long as the UL is between 0.7~1.2Mbps then i am happy,.

and area DL is not problemo,. can get 8~9.5Mbps ma,..

only the UL and it can help to get lower PING,..
