I'm contemplating whether to get MA, MS or AR chassis
I just want to know whether there is really a significant difference between the performance of these chassis, or does further tune up will fix any performance differences? Because I see many people around me recommended MA chassis but there's only like 2 models and both have 'less cool' bodies, lol. I know the AR uses the old engine placement, while the PROs using the mid engine layout. * used to play back in the early 90's LOL. |

I say go for MA. Very easy to tune, lots of new parts released can be used for MA, and it is currently the most balanced and stable chassis released by Tamiya (search YouTube and see for yourself). Ugly body? Nope. Blast Arrow and Heat Edge bodies replicate 24 hour FIA Prototype Class racers, and the bodywork helps the downforce and cooling of motor and battery. Combined with the aerodynamic chassis, it really works.
But you can always use bodies from MS chassis. Heck, I got three different polycarbonate bodies from MS chassis lol. Heck, I got three different polycarbonate bodies from MS chassis lol. I guess my personal preference just not towards wide body. Those MA bodies are like LeMans cars to be exact. Back then I didn't even like Sonic Saber or Magnum Saber. LOL. |

You need parts can let me know. Alternatively, there are loads of parts sellers locally in FB. For friendly shops that got track for you to test your machine, you can go to Live Tech Phantasia (LG, Kompleks Mutiara, Jalan Ipoh) or Speed Houz at Seasons Square 1st floor at Damansara, can find 'em in FB too.

No mate, only official latest Tamiya rules only.
Btw finally I shall have my own basic three lane track with 360 degrees loop as lane changer. Trying to buy a few pieces here and there to make it longer. Once I have it, everyone is welcomed to try! Track location I don't have yet, so anyone can offer a place is welcomed. Since it will be a basic track without bridge sections / inclined banked corners / jumps, basic tuned cars should be enough! |
