QUOTE(poyo @ Jul 23 2013, 08:33 PM) I have bought the Blast Arrow MA Chassis + AO wheel bearings and the gear bearings set + Hyper Dash Motor Pro. What else should I buy to improve the internals and power transfer 1st? Wheels? Tires? Battery terminals? I am really confused with the parts selection, too many lol! that is normal, it will left 1mm outside the chassis....you should upgrade the rollers 1st since the kit provide a set of good wheel, so now you need roller to stabilize your car, or else your car will easily fly out with hyperdash speed.Questions : the wheel bearings doesn't sit flush, is it normal? Tq! happy racing |

QUOTE(budakgemok @ Jul 29 2013, 05:44 AM) thanks for the info bro... by the way... i can see a lot of otai here mention abt gear ratio... may i knoe how to determine which is which??? gear ratio mean rotation in between motor penion gear to wheel gear.tamiya have basically few popular gear ratio: for example super speed, motor turn 3.5= wheel turn 1 super speed: 3.5:1 speed: 3.7:1 high speed gear: 4:1 torque gear:5:1 smaller the ratio mean more speed, however, they will be less of torque. 1st at all SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!
QUOTE(siles1991 @ Aug 8 2013, 02:21 AM) hello guys! also based on szngszng recommendation I also get blast arrow MA chassis. I got a mach dash motor and straight fly out hahaha at TU track 1st turning. So I thought not enough roller so I got the cheap cheap plastic RM13 roller keke. MY setup currently is the stock blue roller put in front, than the cheap purple roller put middle and finally double orange rollers at the back. suggest you get a pair of double roller and new full aloy roller, it will using all the time and last longer compare to other roller. Finally give me enough stability to go round and round but my tires keep flying out so I just learned need to put double sided tape so next session gonna try and hopefully my tires next time. Got any recommendations of good budget rollers? I see like RM32-45 for just 2 pcs of roller...a bit expensive for me T.T Anyone have any experience putting medium back roller, big middle roller and small front roller? It's a bit weird yeah but anyone tried it before with good outcome? as for competition and speed, 830 might be a good choice .... you may refer to previous post for car setting. QUOTE(Only Compacts @ Sep 30 2013, 09:43 PM) Hello everyones I've finally done and this is my car pictures as below I'm using AR Chasis, just started 3months ago do full research and its getting more interesting. this car will be unstable when it go to high speed since it's only support 2 set of double roller.![]() The hardest part was here where I did not use one single individual screw but rather an separate screw attach to its own carbon frame and with so minimum space to fit in the roller, huh... I take long time to finish 2 side of this setting but very satisfy with the result. ![]() Rear Mass Damper Position two Mass Damper In top and one Damper Block below, ![]() Using Carbon Reinforced Large Dia Tires with painted Blue Violet on its wheels. ![]() I'm Using, 1) AR Reinforced Chasis 2) 60mm Hex Reinforce Shaft 3) Hex Hole Bearing 4) Gear 3:7:1 5) Plasma(Speed Demon) or Sprint (Eligible for Race) 6) Secret Recipe hidden inside chasis which i've found tremendous increase tramission and stop power loss |

QUOTE(ShinKen @ Dec 3 2013, 08:06 PM) woooo! sorry for the late reply. was away for KLIMS. only managed to score Top 80. I lost trying to qualify to Top 50 to Jai (of Speed Houz). His car is a speed demon color chassis quality is different, it's softer compare normal from the box.crowd was great too! the cheering and everything was plain mad and fun. btw, back to the topic. is MA as easy to tune as MS? I broke like 3 nose units of MS in less than 4 weeks playing hahaha. everytime I break the nose unit, I learned a new way to reinforce it. good learning process, bad for my wallet though. but, MS is soooo easy to tune for Semi Tech & Semi Speed la. too easy makes it boring sikit. is it the same for MA? I mean, is it easy to tune? if it is, I wanna pindah to VS or Super 2 pulak. I find Super 2 is a cheaper chassis to work on with compared to MS. e.g : RM 25 = 2 Sets of Super 2 Chassis (RM 12.50 for a chassis) .....but for MS is as follows RM 20 (for normal black coloured Nose & Tail unit) or RM 33 (for red reinforced N04 / T04) or RM 33 (for bumperless LED Nose & Tail) + RM 20 (for lightweight centre) = RM 40 - RM 73 for only 1 set in a nutshell, it's RM27.50 - RM 60.50 difference in price per chassis comparing MS with Super 2 MS used to have color chassis too, it show you are still new~~it come 2 in 1 pack...full chassis(center+nose and parts). MS is more upgradeable, and more fun... as for me MA is easy as MS, but the launching speed is a bit slower due to it weight. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Dec 4 2013, 03:40 PM) I would accept it as a substance to clean metal. most ball bearing come with protective grease to prevent it rush, so new bearing usually we will clean it with zippo or contact cleaner to wash out the grease, the grease is good for industrail usage but not for speed purpose like mini 4wd.But most people just follow others, so they don't really understand the after effect. To me, any moving parts especially metal/iron that makes contact needs to be lubricated to ensure its lifespan. Zippo liquid cleans bearings, but afterwards it also creates friction and could wear out the ball bearing. But I guess ball bearings are cheap to replace, so it doesn't matter to most people. after cleanning, we will drip some bearing oil, this is important not just the lifespend of the bearing, but it will take more load, and spin faster when it come with force. |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Dec 4 2013, 04:10 PM) I just use Tamiya fluoropolymer compound. As long as the bearings are smooth and doesn't make sound when rotating, then it's good for me. agree!! I know people likes to free-spin rollers and see how long the spin could last, but on track it doesn't really make any difference because the weight of the car and drag from the motor, and the overall setup like roller size/positioning has more effect. |
